    Nope.

MSRP, apples to apples, as I clearly stated. Don't be disingenuous.

Give them a call dude. The local store's sales people, not the call center 1-800 number. They're making deals depending on stock and if you're okay with a floor model. This is nothing new or unique to Tesla, it's the same as any other sales gig, the sales people get extra commissions/bonuses based on certain goals for certain months/quarters/whatever time period.

If you want a Model 3, I can't think of a better time to buy than now. I decided I don't want one.

They did. Tesla launches new Model 3 with 'mid-range' battery for $45,000, changes pricing structure - Electrek

    Yes, they also did this.

And also customer rejects or overproduction. One that I saw was okay but the other one was BAD.

Changing the units from MSRP to any other number is moving the goal posts. You did it:
You misstated the MSRP and then tried to cover it by adding the "delivery fee." Either the first was FOX/Breitbart a lie by omission or the second the less bad "moving the goal post." Your choice but to quote a famous movie line,"He chose poorly."

I have to go to Nashville to pull a Gen-1 brake power booster. So it is no problem to stop by the Nashville Tesla store in Brentwood and chat with the staff ... maybe beg a cuppa coffee.

As for getting a Model 3, I have a pair of fully paid, plug-in hybrids that fully meet my requirements. At 36k and 14k miles, they aren't even close to worn out. Worse, this is the second week in December and there is no SuperCharger or CHAdeMO in Fort Smith AR.

Fort Smith is halfway between Little Rock AR and the 275 miles to Tulsa OK. Although I could cover that segment in some Teslas, I would prefer not: (1) longer charge time to approach 100% SOC for that distance; (2) no blackout plan if the route is unexpectedly blocked and I have to return to the last charger, and; (3) cold temperatures reduce range leading to another segment too far. A Fort Smith, Tesla compatible, fast DC charger is a hard requirement.

I didn't. MSRP includes all taxable fees which includes destination / delivery fee. Decades of case law states as such.

It is not my fault Tesla does not understand this. Tesla has already lost one lawsuit over this exact method of false advertisement. There are half a dozen more and that is just to my knowledge. If anybody moved the goalposts, it is them.

    False.

    False.

I know of no car company that includes delivery in the MSRP. GM tried it with the gen2 Volt, but quickly stopped.

2018 Toyota Prius Hybrid Car | Take everyone by surprise.
There is a footnote to the published MSRP for the Prius there stating it doesn't include delivery and handling.

What is delivery and handling? Is that all in the ~$1200 fee?

SEC filings are months old. Conditions change. Investments that may have seemed endlessly appreciating suddenly aren't. The configuration I'd want lists at around $62k delivered. Almost twice the average paid for a new car last year.

The forums I follow to see what people's reactions are are:
Model 3 | Tesla Motors Club
Reserving, Ordering, Production, Delivery | Tesla Model 3 Owners Club

And I'm seeing signs of accelerated deliveries told in those forums. And anecdotes of multiple cars with similar configs seemingly available as if in inventory. If there were 200k or even 100k US orders or reservations with the willingness to act and actually plunk down the money, I don't think that I'd be seeing these kinds of postings. So, while I'm sure the SEC figures were accurate, do they tell the whole story?

Also amazed to see some still trying to sell a reservation on CL or fleabay..

    • There is a 'cancelation wait list' for cars built but the customer could not take delivery.
    • Also, 'display' cars that have not been registered.
We're not talking about massive numbers but it is another opportunity. Guess I'll have to play the lottery.

Sounds like you should short the company if you think so little of their prospects. Ask thousands of people how that's worked out for them.

Maybe the shorter's should have shorted GM stock, as they are the ones closing down their factories. There in lies the irony, that the naysayers would be screaming bloody murder as tons of dough is shovelled into Tesla-building out infrastructure, which inevitably makes them viable, yet GM finds it to be more viable to shrink. A comparable logic is found in building Hoover Dam. It's massive investment of Manpower & finances, gives water AND electricity to Generations, as opposed to just moving upstream & filling up a bunch of water barrels that'll last until the next snow melt.

You know you want one, otherwise you wouldn't be hanging out on this sub-forum. As of next Monday, my wait will be over and I will be driving NO NOX. You will still be part of the problem.
Yes. My car is being brought to my delivery location on a car carrier where it will be cleaned, prepped, and charged prior to my pick up. Tesla delivery specialist has contacted me by phone and said to allow about one hour with delivery staff for orientation prior to driving off. I feel giddy with excitement! :X3:

Many reservation holders are still waiting for the $35K model 3.

The people who post these listings believe "there is a sucker born every minute", and they could be right! :D

one really needs to thank our shorters .... their failures have actually improved the stock's value. Congratulations!

That "trend" doesn't mean anything because the consensus of all the car companies (except one) is that no one wants to buy sedans.

so - it sounds like you are telling us that the manufacturers that kept saying,
"you don't want electric cars or trucks"
.... that as soon as someone builds ANY of them ... good ones .... it shows that those manufacturers are the Liars that they are - because the manufacturer of those electric cars totally eats the lunches of the companies that missed the boat. Once they fail at meeting the electric truck demand, b (ecause they didn't build them either) and another manufacturer did, you got to wonder what their next excuse will be.

Based on Thursday's numbers, we may be seeing the "short-squeeze." I may re-evaluate my TSLA stock puts over the weekend.

I want to improve diversity by selling another 10 shares. Just I don't want to walk-away from 'easy money' from the short-squeeze.

As for the base TSLA stock, I will just increase the sale price high enough that no one in their right mind (Opps, there is Cramer) wouldn't touch it.
