I've read the Ioniq Electric uses air cooling, but it is active. Hyundai installed a fan.

I forgot about that one. The kona uses liquid conditioning, and I thought ioniq had changed too. Just looked it up. Rumors are that hyundai's (battery shortage) for the ioniq was really to slow the number of air cooled bev packs in the wild and they will switch in the future.

That is not such a deal. A black one new is $50K including delivery+ tt&l (I don't think that one has autopilot, if it does add it). A new one will probably be better than one built in January of 2018 as this one was. The buy it now is $48,680 and its used. Even the current bid is only 9% less than a special order blue one delivered to you. Of course if you buy used you don't need to pay the registration/title fee($242.50 on my slightly more expensive dual motor autopilot model 3 in texas where this car is located). But you will need to still pay the full sales tax and a slightly lower title transfer fee.

On the other hand a friend just bought a used 2015 leaf for less than $10K. Now that is a big discount to new in texas. It probably got a bigger state tax credit in california and then got shipped here used.

Yep looking at my numbers and changing for rwd and no autopilot + blue = 49,000 (rwd long range) + 1500 (blue) + 1000 (delivery and doc fee) - 7500 = $44,000. Now there may be about $700 less in sales tax and registration fees for this used one ($468.75 is what texas charges in sales tax on the $7500 tax credit amount) but that 44,700 is less than the current bid. If there is autopilot well that is $5K + sales tax, but still this is paying a lot more than other used vehicles to get it faster than the tesla process, or not claim your tax credit.
