Switching to HV mode should stop the "miles remaining in EV mode" from decreasing, right?

    And it really has nothing to do with how far you can drive in EV today starting with a fully charged battery. That depends on how you drive, where you drive and all the various condition that determine how much battery charge is needed for the route you take today.
