Ok put in the old good pump with bad impeller and error went went away only one was the 261B range/performance. I know this is due to the bad impeller but I call it's wiring good just bad new pump would you concur?

Was the old good broken-impeller pump the Gen 3 part number? Is the new pump the Gen 3 or Gen 4 number?

Gen 4 pump is 2048K104058 and gen 3 is 10A302077 this is the only number I found on top of both pumps. I think my new newer pump that I get tomorrow will fix this (as it should). THis will buy me time on the evap leak. I also have an EGR coming and I think that will fix that issue. the last one being the evap leak is not super crucial and I can read up on how to address this issue.

If it were me, I would use a new gen3 pump made for a 2010 Prius. Basically because you have ecus, programming and wiring designed for a 2010 gen3.

I was thinking the same thing today the engine is not relevant but the pump is to the ECU as it expects a gen 3 pump and maybe is why ECU is not happy about the pump response. That being said Can I use the gent three pump? As I recall raging fit had issues with gen3 pump in gen 4

Last night I swapped over to another new Gen4 waterpump and bled the system last nite.
Took her on a drive this morning and I was excited that the temps seemed well in light traffic and sitting in Drive Thru.
On my way back to the house I pushed the car past 70mph and watched the temps rise past 230F, hitting near 240F (no temp light) but lightened up a bit before I got home and she came back down.

Slowly parker her in the garage and jumped out and listened to the new waterpump and its making a loud whirring noise at around over 200F, just like the other one with ~250 miles on it...so I guess these waterpumps sound horrid while they work...

I give up and I think I will let my mechanic look at this- I've already discussed this swap and its issues over the last couple of times I've seen him in the last 2 weeks.

...reading this above, I guess I should scour these posts to see exactly what the issues a Gen3 WP on a Gen4 engine are, especially on Gen3 engine harness and ECU.

oh and still no pending or active CEL's

Your cooling fan isn’t working. I get a cooling fan at 203 degrees of coolant temp. Check the fan and it’s relays.

I can see (and hear) the first fan start out after 200F and the second fan kicks in after while I bleed the system in Maint Mode.

what pump you got in there gen4 or 3? The overheating issue prior to my pump going out was resolved by putting car on ramps and filling it from the top off the EGR cooler in my opinion eliminating air bubbles. I then ran the car in maintenance mode with tank raised high with bungie cords. My current issue is due to a likely off brand pump. I am now sourcing an OEM from the dealer.

the gen4 engine came with many parts removed, including the waterpump.
I ordered a new Gen4 off of a dealership in Boston, ran that for around 200 miles.
I then ordered another Gen4 from my local dealer.
I used the AIRLIFT system to pull and hold a vacuum to test for leaks, then filled it using the vacuum to pull in the coolant back to the system- while with the vehicle jacked up in the front and bungeed coolant tank and fiddling with the Air Bleed valve.

I am at the point now where I'll let someone else look at it as I've wasted wayyy too much time on this thing already.

I did not know there is an air bleed. Where is that?

At some year in the Gen 3s, that stopped being there.

2012 I think. You could just pull off a topmost hose, achieve the same function?
