I have some news. I'm considering making the bypass kit available through the Priuschat Shop.

I am still in the planning stage. I will make 2 types. The difference between the two is the switch. V1 uses a simple 2 position On-On switch but the operation is bypass on and bypass off. You don't have to buy it if you can build it, just follow the directions in post 1. V3 uses a 3 position switch On-Off-(On). The operation is bypass on, bypass off and 1 minute timed. To turn off the the timer off early, turn the bypass on then off. The timer is user adjustable between 1 and 90 seconds. I thought I had mine timed at 1 minute but after reviewing my videos, mine was timed 45 seconds. I will preset the timer to approximately 1 minute. Initially there was a V2 without the ability to turn the timer off via the on-off switch. I have decided to scrap that version because I have a feeling that whoever bought that, would rather have the V3.

As of now, I have no plans on making the schematic for V2 or V3 available. Those who are electronically inclined should be-able to figure it out.

I'm still sourcing the materials and finalize the schematic on V3. I'm having trouble finding a decent On-On switch and On-Off-(On) switch. If you guys can recommend an acceptable looking switch please let me know. Remember, it has to fit into the blank hole and look nice. As of now, I will be using rocker switch for the on-on and mini rocker switch for the on-off-(on) switch. Since there's no way I can source the OEM 5 pin male and female plug and the male and female cigarette lighter plug, this kit will not be plug and play. You'll have to cut the VSS wire and T tap the power and ground wires to install it, see installation guide at the bottom of post 1.

I will be building the kit by hand and only during my spare time so quantity will be limited. It won't look industrially built like the prestigious Society.

I have not set the price yet but Version 1 will be less than $100 and Version 3 will be less than $150. I won't have anything available for at least 2 months. This will give me the time I need to source the materials and actually building them or even change my mind and forget the whole thing if the comments are discouraging. I also need to know which version you would likely to buy so I can estimate on buying the additional parts needed to make version 3.

The profits from this project will go toward buying a more reliable plugin conversion kit.

I believe the signal is the same. I just don't know which wire is the VSS. Knowing Toyota, it's probably violet just like every other Prius. I have a question for your Prestigious Society bypass. Why does it have an input and output for the GPS antenna and the reverse wire? There's also a 3rd wire on that 5 pin plug that was looped into the PS bypass. Do you know what's the reason for it? Beat-Sonic's version does not have that.

I think every one would appreciate V3 but the cost would discourage them from buying it. The one I'm using is V2 and have been using it for almost a year now. One thing I hate on my that I didn't include in the first place was the ability to turn off the timer. Because of that, I don't use the timer as much I liked to. I mostly use the On-Off side of the switch. This is one of the reason why I scrap the V2. Once I finish V3 design and build the prototype, I'm pulling the V2 out of my car.

If you're interested in overriding the navigation speed lock but don't want to build it or can't build it, wait til next month. I'm working with Danny to put the navigation override on the Priuschat Shop some time in December.

Here are more exciting updates!

I'm ordering all the parts, and have redesigned the bypass. The instruction in post 1 is now called Revision 1 and it's about as basic as you can get. I'm on revision 2 now. V1R2 adds a couple of more features. First, when the bypass is off, there's no current draw. If you look at the schematics in post 1, you'll notice that the 555 timer gets its power directly from the cigarette lighter. This means that when you turn on the ACC or power up the car, the 555 timer starts to draw power. The power draw is extremely small, less than 1 watt, but there's still a draw. If you left your car on ACC-ON, the ACC-ON will kill your 12V battery before the V1R1 will. The second added feature is when the bypass is on, an LED on the switch lights up to let you know that it is on. In order to add these 2 features, I had to use a relay so turning on and off the bypass will emit a relay clicking sound. V1R1 does not have this sound. The only clicking sound is from the switch. Because I added a relay for V1R2, the current draw, when activated, will be more than V1R1. However it's still extremely small at about 1 watt.
V3 also got similar features and is now called V3R2. When the bypass is off, there's no current draw. When it's on either ON or 1 minute timed, I estimate the draw to be 1-5 watts due to additional relays used. V3R2 will also have a 2 color LED by the switch to let you know whether if the bypass is in constant ON or 1 minute timed. Again, no plans on making the schematics available because people already have enough trouble making sense of the V1R1.
