WHITE, NOT BLUE!! I thought I was getting a blue one in Sept.06, because that's what the salesman told me I'd be getting. My neighbor who has a white 05 Prius was jealous. She really wanted a blue one, and couldn't get it without waiting a long, long time. But, turns out the salesman made a mistake : when my car arrived, it was super white. So now my next door neighbor and I have identical-looking Priuses! I'm not sorry: I like white just fine. It's a pretty car, and I don't drive very much: in eight months I've only put on 2500 miles! So, barring accidents, it should stay pretty a long time. Of course my mileage isn't as great as for those of you driving more than 2 or 3 miles per trip. I get around 39 or 40mpg, but I'm not complaining.

I had given up on cars as chick magnets (overrated), but they pop up spontaneously telling me how great the car is. Of course they are all Trekkers of some degree or another. Somehow, that is not a problem for me.

I seriously think that this color grows on you... I know I love mine now, and I first wanted blue, then the green... until I saw the white in person!
Count me in the Super White club. Mine is not from Star Fleet, but when the beautiful fleet sales lady at my local dealer called me after weeks of looking and almost falling for a HyCam and even test driving a Civic Hybrid....... a star was was born. Just 5 days ahead of the Sept 30 '06 deadline for getting the full tax credit, I got a call from dealer wanting to know if a package 3, Super White was Ok! It was on the ship due to be off loaded and arrive in the nick of time. "One problem", she said with a worried tone, "it is a Touring model"! I nearly dropped the phone!! Click on Gadgetdad to see my little beauty. Lee

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ibmindless @ Jul 9 2007, 10:02 PM) </div> Sweet! What a beautiful car and color.
I finally have a VIN number. My dealer has told me I should have the car in about a week. Super White with the bisque leather interior Package #6. About $1,400 off the sticker (everyone else was at or above sticker). Got 6.75% financing, not bad I think. It was between the Red or White, actually I like all the colors but I have had white cars of late, I just think they look cool and I guess it makes the car very visable, which is probably a good thing. I probably would have gotten the Touring but you just can't get that in my part of the country with the leather and GPS. The one thing I am going to do as soon as I pick it up is go to my local Goodyear dealer and exchange the tires for the Comfortreads (spelling?). Anybody have the car with the bisque or do most have the gray?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Ronald56 @ Jul 10 2007, 04:42 PM) </div> I have the bisque (tan) interior. Leather seats (Package #6) also.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dogfriend @ Jul 10 2007, 07:01 PM) </div> Me too; even so, half the white Prii I see in Northern California seem to be operated by a government agency, or AAA!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Pinto Girl @ Jul 10 2007, 05:06 PM) </div> When I got hit, the AAA insurance adjuster had a white Prius also. There used to be two white Prii at the business next door (I think they were an environmental consulting firm; lots of them in Sac), but they moved last week. They also had a silver Prius and a Civic hybrid at the same company.
Today on the way home from work, I was passed by a First Generation Prius... with exempt plates, so some sort of government vehicle... it had a bumper sticker that read: You are following a Hybrid Electric/Gas vehicle. (45+ MPG) It was white
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(LYLUVLY @ Jul 9 2007, 10:54 PM) </div> Thanks! That was somewhere south of Pacifica, just north of Moss Beach. I passed HB the day before on my trip from San Diego to Seattle. And that's with 2 days of driving and it still looked clean. Yay for Super White! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Gadgetdad @ Jul 9 2007, 10:11 PM) </div> Thanks Gadgetdad!
Dogfiend, pintogirl, dancekat59 and any others that have the Super White with the bisque leather interior: Do you have any pictures of your cars, possibly showing the interior in some of the shots. Thanks a lot, I have not been able to see one yet so when it comes next week, I was hoping not to be too surprised.
Ronald 56: Just think, with a little bit of better timing, you could have had it for the 4 of July, and get a gotten a real big bang for the day! We have the super white 2007 pkg #2 with gray interior. It goes great with the 2 tone gray plastic dashboard. And you are correct: white really stands out, and can be seen clearly, since its a sharp looking auto. What part of the USA are you in? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Ronald56 @ Jul 10 2007, 08:42 PM) </div> here is a shot of the radio, and glove box area: [attachmentid=9598]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Ronald56 @ Jul 10 2007, 08:42 PM) </div> They have some pictures on the Toyota site showing the Bisque interior, and the interior is cleaner than my car is right now. The outside of the car in the pics is not white, but the interior looks exactly the same. http://www.toyota.com/prius/interior.html BTW, when I'm sitting in the drivers seat, there are only 3 areas of the white paint that I can see (without looking at the convex spot mirrors I added to each side): about 2 inches of the edge of the hood on the left side out the windshield, and a small amount of the white cover on each side mirror. Otherwise I would not be able to tell what color the car is while driving.
SuprerWhite Prius club, count me in, a proud owner of a 2005 Superwhite Prius! Color does matter! VW tested Identical cars, one White and one Black, sitting in the Airzona sun for 8 hours. The interior temperature of the White car was 50 degrees cooler than the Black car. I look at my super white as the best looking prius model. However, I still like to look at the other colors also. I do this by the Prius2007.gif which flashes the different colors for 2 to 3 seconds at a time. It resides right on your desktop, using about 20% of the desktop. All you have to do is: copy and paste this gif to the c:/windows folder. Right click on the desktop. Go to the desktop tab and hightlight prius2007.gif Click apply/ok and then your back to the desktop with a real nice display of each and every color of Prii made. Just like what its doing below. I love it. [attachmentid=9636]
