Sun Shade for Hood/MFD

Old thread, update.
I got tired of looking for one to buy and was not wanting to pay $40 for one from eBay.
If anybody has or has access to a 3d printer, this is a great solution. Many public libraries have 3d printers for use charging only for the cost of the materials. Cost of material is a buck or two.
I made a couple of them so I’d have a spare. It works great. Anchored it with three 3M double sided Velcro tape pieces like one uses on toll booth RFID.

Awesome. I just did this as well.
i used a piece of Kydex. Carbon fiber pattern. A heat gun and oven mitts to press and hold the Kydex as it cooled.

 

Nice. The 3d printer does a good job too.

 

I think I’ll try and have a 3D printer one made as well.
