to each his own. all the naysaying won't stop people who like the prius from buying it. i also can't wait for one. and i don't even care what it looks like, i've never been concerned about what others think of me, or the car i drive. keeping up with the joneses has never been my thing.
Even in acknowledging that everyone has personal tastes, you insult it and thereby anyone who likes it.
I think people who care about looks are shallow. I also think people who think the Gen3 is more attractive than the Gen4 are mistaking familiarity for attractiveness. I'm up to about 15 people (friends and family) to whom I've shown Gen3 and Gen4 pictures. None of them are really familiar with Gen3 (I have a Gen2) so they've really only seen them in passing on the street. All 15 have picked the Gen4 over the Gen3 so far. Ages range from 6 to 90.
?????did you mean misogynistic? Aka If it is a reference to miso soup (another soybean product), not women, then the answer is no, I like miso.
It is funny b/c I had talked to 15 people (friends, family and co-workers) and they all disliked Gen4. This was ranging from people in their 20s, 30s and 40s. One mentioned that he will rather buy used Gen3 when his Gen2 is replaced. If you think looks are shallow, that's fine, but apparently most of americans will disagree with you. When Hyundai Sonata got redesigned for 2011, sales doubled. Doubt gonna happen with Gen4.
Not necessarily, it could be cultural. My experience shopping in Carrefour (french/belgian equivalent of super Walmart). Wow, everything is so pretty here! Needless to say the very pretty pair of earbuds hurt when you try to use them.
Oh come one. Some do for sure, but I'd say most just want to see a nice car parked out front. Life is too short to drive an ugly car, or so it goes.
I'd much, much rather have an ugly useful car than a pretty useless car. As such, I buy purely on usefulness.
