I live in PA but am about 15 miles from NJ. I noticed the Prius Prime has a $2500 incentive in NJ but only $1000 in PA.
Anyone know if I can get the $2,500 incentive if I buy the car in NJ but live in PA? It seems like it would be worth driving a few extra miles to save $1,500.

I believe the answer is that you receive whatever incentive is available in the state you are buying no matter where you live. Elsewhere on the forum you'll find some people that traveled from the mid-west to the east coast to take advantage of the $2500 incentive (plus the fact that there's difficulty getting the Prime in the midwest.)

Attended the Indy 500 and saw one in WV mountains, and one in suburban Indy. Jerry Mildred the whole SE Toyota "thing" has been caused by Jim Moran Enterprises, the exclusive distributor for SE Toyota. As told by the local dealer GM and Google JME. It becomes clear how he became a billionaire. Now expired, but the family still runs JME in perpetuity.

I skimmed through the Wikipedia entry for him. Interesting. Thanks.

The "War Department" thinks that she saw a Prime a few days ago here in Lafayette, but she only caught a glimpse of it. She thinks she noticed the "wavy" rear window / rear end in her rear-view mirror as it headed off in the opposite direction. This was close to the I-65 / SR-26 interchange, so it might have just been passing through.

I saw two different ones (the 1st I've noticed) in San Diego Monday morning 6/5. I saw one on CA-94 westbound and the second one near the airport.

let alone seeing one in the wild (as likely as spotting a unicorn at the moment) I've been waiting for someone to register a 'hey, I think that's a Prime' when they see mine. Yesterday it finally happened. A Gen 4 owner asked me how I liked it and expressed regret that she hadn't waited for the Prime. I think I've only spotted 3 Gen 4s in Minnesota, so even they are rare birds here.

I would be surprised if many taxi drivers opted for the Prime. The combined electric/gas range is great, but it only seats two passengers in the backseat, and the cargo space in the hatch is limited. A taxi driver using a Prime would have to bypass fares if he/she saw a family of four flagging him/her down on the sidewalk...particularly if that family had two full-sized suitcases and a carry-on. I think you will see more Generation 4s used at taxis.

You should see more Primes in the wild soon. If the reports that have appeared online recently are accurate, the Prime has surpassed th Volt in monthly sales over the past two months.

Bought a Prius Prime Advanced last night in NJ. Plenty of inventory in central NJ. I checked with three dealers. Two dealers had 10 in stock, one had 6 in stock. I had to drive 40 miles from home in PA but it is certainly worth an extra 30 minutes drive to get the $2,500 customer cash. PA only has $1,000.
Traded a 2013 Prius v. Less interior room in the Prime but better ride, quieter and safety stuff unimaginable 5 years ago when I bought the v.

On my way to work this morning I was in my Prime, right before one of the tunnels that stacks up traffic, I saw a Blizzard Pearl Prime in front of me. Pulled in right behind it. It was actually nice to see it in action so to speak. I'd never seen the brake lights come on. His car was just as dirty as mine is though. That white seemed to show the dirt quite a bit. I pulled back into the other lane to pass him, but couldn't tell if he saw me since he had some pretty dark tint on the drivers side window. First one I've come that close to driving around and see when I was in my Prime.

Depending on the day, since I carpool with my GF, We can be in a 2002 Tundra, the Prime or her 2009 Hyundai Elantra, so I just lucked out.

I saw one last week, and one the week before that. And now that we've got ours there's another one on the road to notice (especially since ours is the quite distinctive blue!).

Not to brag, but I see 2017 Prius Primes on the road here in Northern California just about every day! I bought mine 2 weeks ago (Plus model). I absolutely LOVE this car! The color is Titanium Glow. (And sorry about my avatar. I will replace it with a shot of my car.)
