The front used to look like a hamster on the 3G, now it looks like a rat :).

Interesting that they're shipping them by Boeing 747. Even more interesting that they allowed somebody with a UWA lens (not exactly something you stuff in a pocket, even with MILCs) in there to take these shots. The wetness (condensate?) is something I've never heard of, and will try to find out more about.

But my opinions about the highly (read: overly) styled nature of the 4th gen stands.

    Thanks for the pics!

I think they're the North American model--if you look at the headlamp housing, note that prominent amber turn signal lights. You don't such prominent turn signal lamps on European-market cars in general.

As I've said before the external looks of the car aren't all that important to me. There certainly are changes but for the life of me I can't figure out why it took so many months to do that redesign.

I'd really like to see the dash, and know if it has a spare tire.

idk about the roof slope, looks like a blind spot worse than already exists.

No I still like it. It is like no other car which is why I bought mine in the first place. And it gets great gas mileage

Not as happy with the rear portion and those tail lights. But... I still dislike my GenIII's tail light design. No gain - no loss. I could get used to the front end. All that said, my plan is the PIP2. No hard info yet on if that might look hideous or better.

That probable rear blind spot issue worries me. I'm not sure if what I'm seeing in those pics (from the rear) is the interior roofline on the side of the car, or some massively wide frame structure around the rear hatch glass just inside of it. Can someone help make sense of this?

Does Toyota even do focus groups on the design of these cars? If they do, they have been seriously lied to.

I hope these sit on the lot.

I'm thinking about going back to a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
