*sigh* Toyota To Sell Noisemaker add-on for Prius

Make it sound like a big block Hemi with a 3/4 cam and I'll buy one!

 

I saw my first pedestrian with a white cane in the last six months yesterday. I was pretty amazed at how well he made it across a busy street winding his way between all the cars while jaywalking.
The fact is, I truly object to the idea that you make cars noisier to protect people who, according to NHTSA, choose not to use existing technology to walk safely around all vehicles.

 

They can sell whatever ridiculous thing they want and there will be bunches of people who will buy it so they can brag about how they are more conscious of others than some.

Just so they don't make it standard and make everyone pay for it. We aren't that far in our European conversion, are we?
