Should cars nag you about rear seat passengers buckling up?

    In UK it is the driver's legal responsibility to ensure ALL passengers have their seat belts on and secured. Police prosecution will follow all cases contravening that law unless there is a valid preordained exclusion. So perhaps the warning lights are to assist the driver in compliance with the law. (n)
