I'm guessing there's a joke involved in connecting article 134 to this thread, and I'll figure it out eventually ....

 

This made me immediately think of the Nuremberg defense, which I really hope everyone is familiar with.

 

You’re only obligated to follow LAWFUL orders.
Things get murky sometimes…especially when those giving the orders are in cognitive decline or otherwise mentally deficient.

Article 92 covers orders AND regulations….SO…
They CAN make you take a drug that’s barely out of the experimental stage and recently rushed through a very abbreviated approval process to benefit a politically connected company with billions (trillions?) of bucks changing hands.

THAT’s why elections are sorta important.
HOWEVER (comma!) in these kinder, gentler times they don’t charge anti-vaxxers in DOT.mil with an article 92 beef.
As stated earlier, they just ADSEP them.

FUN FACT….
The annual flu shots are also MANDATED by regulation.
When I was in the reserves, there were folks who were pretty artful in dodging the shot, and we did ADSEP some of the more stupid of these.
When I was knocking holes in the ocean it was a lot easier.
The little yellow cards don’t lie….and they used phrases like “nobody goes home until they see the doc!”
Although, you could always get a “hook-up” from the doc unless one of you is a jerk....which is why you NEVER EVER piss off a corpsman, a yeoman, or a “culinary specialist.”

I always just got the shot, including the Rona shot…
BUT(!!) I also remember an oath that I took that applies to forcing civilians to take them.

 

Ah, joke's on me. I see that 134 is quite a general article (the General Article, even), and it only just so happens that like six of the first Google hits about it are specifically focused on adultery.

Not sure how deeply I want to think about why.

If the events unfolded the way it says, there is a strong appearance that she was engaged in throwing spaghetti at walls to see what would stick, and throwing one handful at a time, where the commander would have preferred she at least decide what spaghetti she was going to throw and do that once.

One gray bit I do see is it appears she had joined the clinical trial two days before the second order was forwarded to her.

 

LOVE the fact that she was……a ‘diversity’ ossifier.

 

Just the opposite for me. A Navy Corpsman was drawing blood and, with the needle in my arm and no blood filling the tube, he started to move the needle around under my skin. I told him in no uncertain terms that if he continued doing that I would lay him flat out on the deck. He listened and withdrew and reinserted the needle. Ever since that episode I have to watch whenever any needle pierces my skin, either to draw blood or to get a shot. Doesn't faze me in the least, but I have to watch.

 

Venipuncture is an art, like thr ability to draw or sing. Some people got it, and some just can't. Unfortunately, there are many healthcare workers out there who are getting paid to draw blood, but are really bad at it.
