Thanks for posting the shots! They help a lot, I was thinking the nose would sit overtop the solar panel and I wasn't sure if I wanted that. But yours looks real good, may have to save my pennies up :)

Thanks for the info. If I understand you correctly, the shark fin can be removed, and the original configuration with the pole antenna can be restored, right?

^^ You may want to take out the end of the description where it says "Except, the shark fin is not compatible with 2010 Prius with the solar sunroof package. "

I got my shark fin on my IV with SR 3 months now and I love it!

Easy installation, not notice any reception lost and it looks lot better! Highly recommend!

    Hi MLN,

I noticed you had the same problem like me when I first installed mine, the tips is a bit stick out to the solar panel. After a day like that, I work with the manufacture and they send me the 3M stickers and I push mine a bit back this time and it looks perfect (IMO) now. Hope that helps.

Yes. The most difficult part will be removing the 3M base sticker. I did it in less than 5 mins.

Are you using one on your car? If so, how's the radio reception?

    Looks Awesome!

When you said "pushed it back a little" I take it that you just push it up against the original housing that it there? I know looking at the original housing there isn't much room between the front of it and where the solar panel begins, yet your shark fin looks perfect.

    Dan,

Correct. When I installed first time I ended up look like MLN, post #21 pictures. As you see the very end tips stick out/touch the solar panel very tiny little bit. I live with that for a day and I ended up removed it and reinstalled it. This time, I "push" the shark fin as back as possible and now it is perfect IMO.

    Thanks hlkc

I will have to shell the dollars out ( which isn't a bad price) and get one, just look soo much better the the original antenna.

    Dan,

It makes a pretty visible different to me and IMO it is one of the "must" do upgrade.

They are selling both the non solar roof and the solar roof versions.
I still have a non solar roof in BP if anyone is interested.
