Sense lead wire has come off help

The most direct way to find what part to buy is to sign in to toyota-tech.eu and pull up the Electrical Wiring Diagram for your car, click that circuit to highlight it, click the little orange Info icon in the lower right, which will show you a drawing of the connector ... click to expand the "Wire Harness Repair" link, and you will be shown the exact part number for the repair terminal (which is just like the terminal you have, but with a short length of wire attached, which you splice to your original wire).

This is an easy repair, as pointed out to you but someone here. Y not just attempt any of those, first?! You just want to spend some £ by all means?

 

All the posts here are five years old, except for #22 (what does it do?) and #23 (what trouble code do you get if it doesn't?).

So the answers to those are: what it does is allow the DC/DC converter under the hood to control its output voltage so that it is correct at the battery in the back of the car.

When it doesn't, you get one of the converter codes, I think P0A08 (do not confuse with P0A80, a battery code) ... maybe P0A94.

There is also a 5 amp fuse next to that sense lead, which sometimes gets blown in reverse-jump accidents. That will also give the same converter code. Sometimes a repair shop will see that code and think your inverter/converter got blown and they have to replace it.
