Seemingly dead Prius turns on when touching negative battery terminal

    Yes, I have try it with the key in the slot and then reconnecting the 12V(even switching keys between tries because I don't remember which key I was using when I "killed him" first time) like ChapmanF was mentioning it really looks like it is stuck on the "place" that it was before this disconnecting 12V and HEV fuse. I am now searching for that power button, it might be wasting money but since it shows no lights in the power neither any reaction to touch it can actually be just that or the cable connecting it.

    There is a lot of info on failing mfd or display connected to power malfunction but not so much on this particular combination.

    Ok ok...u can start laughing now...

    I ordered a used power button from some junkyard and when the mechanic tried to switch them he noticed the old one was disconnected...

    Basically the cable was not clipped in (that clicking to be completely locked in) and was driven almost 40 000km (like 25k miles) and it unplugged... Probably during the odometer fixing from the 299999 blockade

    So like someone wrote those buttons are not prone to fail, but I can complement that can be unplugged
