As a seventy year old, I hope I'm doing all I can. I wear a mask properly when shopping. I'm OCD about washing hands
and staying as far as possible from people when I'm running my daily 4-5 miles. I give blood when my hemoglobin levels allow and I have the luxury of living alone so I don't have to worry about someone bringing it home.

    Just follow the basics:
    1. mask - go for quality, washable, and carry spares in vehicles
    2. social distancing - when 'public' comes within arm reach, move and/or leave
    3. wash hands just before returning to vehicle
    4. check temperature and O{2} level after waking up or before going to bed

This virus may bring an end to cultural kissing e/other as a greeting. I do not feel the least bit sorry for those who use the opportunity to slobber excessively all over you.

even with transition, we're likely stuck with most of this until spring. hopefully, 2021 will start to see advances to prevent the following winter spikes

Yeah, sad to say, I agree with you. The situation in the US is only going to get worse, and not going to get better any time soon. Watching the live feed on CNN of large crowds on the streets of many cities all over the US, I just can not feel the jubilation. Sorry, but they are just more of super spreader events. If they are considerate enough to vote by mail, I wish they stayed home and celebrated alone.:cry::cry:

cases and positive rates keep climbing in the northeast. i don't see a workable solution. it seems to be inner city related, probably front line people, and so much of the economy 'back to business and school'.

hospital numbers are climbing very slowly. a lot of asymptomatic cases, hopefully stays that way.

#2922, mine, was probably the problem. Not the first time I’d posted in the wrong thread.

The offending posts were deleted, so going back to read what remains won't reveal what happened. Let's just say that they very much belonged in FHoPol, but unlike some past threads that were picked up and moved there in their entirety, this thread has too much otherwise valuable material to get that treatment.
Nope. If you can still see it, it wasn't the problem.

The man opens the freezer door and the parrot walks out. It looks up at him and says, “I apologise for offending you, and I humbly ask your forgiveness.”

There are multiple vaccine efforts. Perhaps someone with more time might work up a list?

Here's CNBC's list of the top 5 and what stage they are at. Here's a more comprehensive list of 20 vaccines.
