Unless there is reported trend of the design leading to misapplication of the brakes.

In the absence of brake boost, the car still must stop in a certain maximum distance (though long), with a certain minimum pedal force (though lots more than normal, small people will need their fully body weight).

Ha ha, the brake pedal force and requirements absolutely have changed. There used to be none. The NHTSA didn't even exist until 1970! Cars I'm talking about are older than that.

The only real complaint that I think is universal is the small rear window and its associated visibility. I personally think I can live with it and and have adjusted well with the rear window since we have backup cameras which help significantly to mitigate the biggest gripe I have there. For daily driving, the rear visibility is fine enough when tracking who is behind you.

The A - pillars are maybe a bit of an issue until you adjust.

Having to move your head to swivel the driver/passenger sun visor to the side window is my only other real complaint.

But the pedal is not one of them.

I have no problem with the "small rear window". Perhaps it's your physical limitations. Have you had neck problems not being able to turn your head properly? Chiropractor? No issue here with its associated visibility. If this was an issue Toyota would have investigated it and had a solution.

I'm used to driving manual. No issues with break pedal what so ever.

Otherwise ... many here recall Lexus/Toyota's issue w/ unintended acceleration on genII ..... & the slowness to address it. bandini happens
