Is there a thread for something like this? I used to maintain the KB for the Specs and Options but haven't done any for the Gen 5.

If there isn't one, then feel free to create a new one if it applies to all Toyota hybrids.

I trust Toyota has plenty of failsafes built-in. They've been building battery hybrids for over 20 years.

The trick I mentioned was used on a Gen 4 2017 Prius Two

I would try to find used parts, preferably the same color. There shouldn't be much paint fade and you avoid respraying the car. I would check the prices of both new and used parts. You can usually bargain with the used parts seller as long as you know the price of the new part. Don't pay more than half price of new. Again, you'll need to build-in cost of repainting the car - so keep that in mind when bargaining.
Once you replace the defective part, you can erase the code related to it and it shouldn't come back, unless you have a defective part or damage to it's fuse or harness. Unfortunately you'll have to pick through each code to determine root cause and replace/repair that component/assembly.

    Good Luck...

PS, you should probably pull the traction battery disconnect as a precaution. Place it on your dash board, above the steering wheel as a reminder.:p:whistle:
