    Hmm

A reading comprehension class is in order. Followed perhaps by a quick beating about the head and shoulders with a humor clue-by-four.

You do realize, (well, maybe not), that I wasn't addressing the topic of the thread at all, but was commenting only on the the proposition which I quoted in my reply?

But, before spending too much time trying to figure out how you missed the whole point so spectacularly, I would recommend that you first get that blood pressure looked at. That bulging throbbing vein on your forehead is looking a tad angry.

I'm not exactly sure how being in stealth mode would help with the carpool/HOV lane situation, unless the stealth mode you're speaking of is actually an invisibility cloak for the Prius and not the aftermarket EV button? Because one can be as quiet as they wish in the carpool lane but if they're HOV stickerless and still visible to the outside world (CHP included) then they'll still be ticketed if they're driving solo. :D

Yes Jennifer, I was referring to the invisible type of stealth (modification, not mode)........ guess you missed the last bit as to how funny it would be if you left the vehicle and, not having turned the modification off, how you would find it later . ....oh well I tried but not hard enough I guess.

And this, children, is why Rufaro is not allowed to play with PhotoShop! (Hey Rick--would you please email me the photo so I can hang it over the dog's bowl to give him something to which to aspire? :D )

If I visit California, and since my state has no HOV lane stickers, can I legally drive in the HOV lane with my Prius? If I plead ignorance will they let me off? We would do that for you, if we had HOV lanes. Actually there may be one in Portland now but I haven't seen it yet.

A few weeks ago, I saw a fellow Prius driver immediately switch lanes to tailgate me in the HOV lane last week.
I looked in the mirror and I noticed that (unlike myself) he had no HOV stickers.
    What's up with that?

Some departments in south fla park thier cars on the interstate with a dummy inside to fool the other drivers into safer driving....

It's the twofor rule, a subtle footnote to the law. Two Prii in close formation count as one. Be sure to tell that to the cop who stops you (in car number two). Many are unaware of this codicil. ;)

Hmmmmm....shouldn't that have been with TWO dummies in the car-pool lane?

And I am choosing to ignore Alnilam's wife comment. And hoping his wife sees it. :p

Yeah, I agree with that (although i have HOV stickers) I see on average 3-4 Prius in the Carpool lane that don't have the HOV stickers. Some of them are 'brand new' with the dealer plates still on them. But the cops never pull them over. I drive on average 600+ miles to and from work every week. It's infuriating that these Prii owners flaunt the rules! ARGH! (i'm just cheesed because i didn't do it while i was waiting for my stickers) :p

 It reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons:

Dr. Nick throws some change to Smithers, and walks inside the
hospital, and finds his way into a boardroom.

    Riviera: everybody!
    Board: [unenthused] Dr. Nick.
-- At a malpractice board hearing,
    "Twenty-Two Short Films About Springfield"

Chairman: Dr. Nick, this malpractice committee has received a few
complaints against you. [reads from clipboard] Of the 160
gravest charges, the most troubling are performing major
operations with a knife and fork from a seafood restaurant.
Riviera: But I cleaned them with my napkin.
    Chairman: Misuse of the cadavers.
Riviera: I get here earlier when I drive in the carpool lane. (italics mine)
-- "Twenty-Two Short Films About Springfield"

"Rules for cheating" sounds like an oxymoron to me. :)

Trolling would be posting the Pious picture over and over..this is more like helpful criticism that you won't issue unto yourself or your discussion.

In most of the threads I have posted I have simply provided a valid counterpoint. I pardon if I have a tone you disagree with. But hey, the general rule is attack the post not the poster
