...later, "why is my fuel economy not better?" While there are lots of aggressive drivers and other drivers that start their commute at the 11th hour, I don't see this level of intimidation at me in Dallas.
To be fair, drivers in Dallas aren't aggressive specifically towards Priuses; they're aggressive towards everything! As scary as I-635 was, I miss US-75 the most, especially around Plano and around Northpark. Weaving around traffic while getting blasted by even faster drivers made me feel like Neo from the Matrix. xD On that note, you can be the aggressor and get great fuel economy. Claim that coasting room early and often folks!
The approach I use is to follow (not tailgate) any slow moving vehicle, the larger the better. What this does is the other drivers get pissed at the lead vehicle and ignore the Prius 'stuck' following behind. Call it 'road camouflage.' Bob Wilson
Michigan is a totally different animal like I said before I go to school in Dearborn mi where ford headquarters is and I work security at there ford plant that makes the cmax and focus so trust there not friendly to the Prius iPhone ? They would talk about my 2011 Hyundai Sonata when I had it also some guy complained about my 2002 Hyundai Elantra hatchback iPhone ?
I've seen that attitude at a union local parking lot. They had a sign that said non-USA cars were not welcome . . . not far from a number of former Chrysler buildings. You might consider Toyota has a big plant in Georgetown KY, one in Mississippi, and another in Texas. In Huntsville, there is an engine plant. Bob Wilson
