    You haven't driven in the NYC metro area, then? I found California drivers (the ones around Silicon Valley at least) to be mostly pussycats when I drove a rental Prius liftback there last year.

    You're right, I haven't. I don't know about Sil Valley but, San Diego, Long Beach and all pts in between = fast, road rage, cut you off, stay in the lane that closes up ahead until the last minute and, motorcycles splitting lanes 10-15 mph faster than traffic (sometimes more when jammed). Usually there are no CHP b/c they can't ticket everyone (lol). I don't miss it at all.

    Now I just deal w/ locals who sometimes drive too slow and slow down for green lights.:)
