Well, I've owned my PiP for a year now, and learned a ton in the process. The car has taken us on some fun road trips to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Creator Lake, and many weekend excursions. I like it better than my excellent Acura TSX because efficiency is more interesting to me than performance when using a vehicle as transportation. I've added a hitch, bought a 4-bike carrier, and have a 4 x 8 Harbor Freight trailer sitting in the garage waiting to be built. I had been wondering why there was a faint wind noise coming from the windshield area and above average condensation. Turns out whoever replaced the windshield forgot to use the activator on the top seal, so the entire top edge was merely press fit to the gasket. I could push the glass out and fit my arm through it. The glass is reset properly now, and I'm looking forward to another year of adventure.
RUN AWAY....probably will be a big mistake and only after a while when you own it you will know whats really wrong with it. Could be spliced car made into one from two wrecks. Bad enough its salvage but from Russian? As many have said..if its too good to be true... Also the inverse..if it was such a good deal don't you think it would have been snapped up by now?
Get rid of the pick up truck unless you are towing something really heavy. I put a hiitch on my pip and have towed my motorcycle and other things. I never need anything else . Way to go on your buy you did great.
I sold the car to a friend and it's still running just as good as ever. It did develop a leak that let water into the interior. My brother in law is an auto body repair guy, and we found it pretty quickly and sealed it up. My gamble on a car that was totaled out cost me $100 to have the windshield removed and properly mounted, and a couple hours locating a leak and sealing it.
