real for sudden explosion and deadly metal fragments, might not involve the 2014.

Oh, that one. I don't think my 2014 is a worry for that.

    Thanks

    Hello from Sweden!
i've got a call from a local toyota dealer and got a time for fuse replacement and a coal canister in fuel tank next week on wednesday.
After reading this thread i have blended feelings, should i do this or not?
Becouse i'ts not a must here in Sweden, i'ts freewill.
My car has done 380.000 km by now. 2013 model.
    30% driven in EV.
Fuel consumption is 2,4 L/100 km. average.
EV range, gentle 20 km. in summer.
    And 15-16 km. in winter.
I em werry pleased with this performance but welcoms improvments to make the stats better.
    Should i take the risk?

I don't see much of a risk. To replace the fuse, they take the cover off the battery housing and replace the fuse. Something an average do-it-yourself kind of person should be able to handle. I can't figure out what's behind some of the tales of woe I've read here.

The charcoal canister would be a much more involved repair.

i haven't done it. i guess if you drive like a banshee, it might be a problem. most haven't had a problem with the replacement, but like most recalls, there's always a few...
