Rear License frame rattle?

I have a super thin black frame around my plate since I'm not a huge fan of frames and the black tied the plate in better against the dark gray, and just used clear zip ties for the bottom holes. No rattles unless I slam the hatch when closing it.

I opted for zip ties to show my mod side vs having a damn stuffed animal hanging from the tow hook, ROFL.

You probably already solved this, but If your license plate frame is rattling like mine did, I used the small round or square rubber adhesive backed rubber pads you can buy at your hardware store to replace feet on cutting boards and such. Place one on each corner of the back of the frame or at least the bottom corners if that's all that's rattling. Rattle is gone and saves the car paint underneath from constant rubbing and abrasion.

 

Removed the frame. No more rattle, also the frame will scratch the paint each time it rattles.

 

I used some Home Depot plumber putty under the license plate. The rattle stopped.

I used rubber weather stripping, since that is my business. 1/2" x 1/2" across the bottom back edge. It has held up for 3 years now.

 

There were two black rubber pieces there on the Prius v as well. Had an accident last October, and after the body work, they are gone. Plate is rattling. Gonna try to find replacement bumpers to help. (I don't even use a frame.) Thanks for the tips guys. For some reason Home Depot's search function is not being friendly to me today....
