Rear ended, pictures and questions regarding the damage

    The bumper you see is called a 'Bumper Cover', the actualy impact absorbing metal parts are behind it and can only be evaluated for repair once the plastic bumper cover is removed. Those covers should cost about a grand to buy and replace, cheaper if non-Toyota Parts are supplied. The cover will come primed and the body shop will paint it to match before installing it. This is why you cutting in less than a car length ahead of a car you pass can spell trouble, just as having some moron tailgate you. Human reaction time needs about 3 car lengths to handle most sudden occurrences on the road. Was the guy who hit you yentar'ing on a cell phone ?

    So this is a subsidized medical coverage.
    Where does it say that they can drive on this policy alone with no minimal required liability coverage?

    Have you read that weird NJ policy ??? It means that person is dirt poor to start with (medicaid ). NO income probably disabilty ... (don't know how owns a car) Sure you can file anything against anyone but you can not collect from a disability check .... pretty fucked up that NJ allows this
