I just ordered one too for my brother's Prius V.

BTW, from my experience with the Gen II Prius rear bumper protector, it would be helpful if the protector had more 3M foam auto tape. I thought it especially needed tape running vertically alongside the two ends.

Would really love one of these, but to be honest the black looks pretty bad on a silver car. I saw a silver Corolla with a silver bumper protector at the dealership so I know it's at least possible, though of course the Corolla one won't fit the v.

I guess spray paint is an option but it's a bit expensive for a random attempt and of course it looks even worse if the color is close but not quite matching.

Here is a pic of the rear bumber protector on my Blizzard Pearl. I'm on the fence... Not sure if it would look better painted...I wish it was a little longer. I'm going to see if it grows on me. Excited my side moldings arrive tomorrow :D.

I had the same thought when I got bumper protectors for our 2009s. I bought some 3M double-sided tape at Home depot and that did the trick.

The protector for the vee comes with three long strips of tape, which should be enough given its size.

I just installed on my Magnetic Gray bumper, looks great. It is a little odd to have the clear 'bumper protection' from the factory sticking out from the sides, but you'd never see it from more than a couple of feet away anyway.

I would love a picture of how your clear protection sticks out from under the Black bumper protector. I have the clear as well but have always had the beefier black protector on previous vehicles. My plan is to test the clear protector by letting my 2 big dogs get in the back. Then if it gets scratched through I would remove it (or at least remove the ends that would stick out) and put the black bumper protector on. I'm still enjoying my new car smell and have not let the dogs in yet. We are still getting some messy winter weather here in Syracuse NY. When I do let the dogs in I'll make sure to take and post pictures.

I will get you a photo in the next few days. Weather and lighting have made getting a decent shot difficult, and it's a subtle thing.

I know this thread is mainly about the bumber protection at the top of the bumper, but I'd like to find protection for the bumper from people who scratch me when they parallel park. Tom (Boo) I saw that on your black prius in the center cap thread. I don't mean the bumperbully- I like the strip that runs the whole width the bumper and curves forward towards the doors.

Any thoughts about where I can get that (done)? Thanks
