My to do list at the upcoming meet up also includes relubing rear tire brake pins which calipers has to be removed and reattached. We can try to take some photos

Hello Mendel, wouldn't it be an easier solution to simply grind the pin at the back of the inner brake pad so one would not need to care so much about the positioning of the caliper piston ? Just trying but maybe you see other issues at dong this.... thanks for your advice.

The pin is there for a reason: to prevent the piston rotating when you apply parking brake. If you grind it off then the piston is free to screw outwards, which will REALLY clamp the rear brakes.

Thanks Mendel for saving my life !
By the way, I changed the rear bearing on both sides this weekend. It went well as I made a small extractor from an 1/2 inch bolt & nut ( and some larger 9/16 nuts as spacers) see picture. The hub cracked from the support easily so I could put new dust backplates and replace the noisy bearings.
