Very nice! But full-speed driving, 65 mph, really??? Over here max speed limit is 70mph on motorways and dual carriageways, but illegal full speed driving is anything above 80mph. 90, 100 or more is not unheard of, but likely to invite arrest and prosecution.

we need to take those UK MPG numbers with a grain of salt. Their numbers will be higher because although their mile measurement is the same as the US, their gallon is larger.
I've had my car for 16 months now. and not once have I checked the gas mileage. Am I breaking the rules or something? not even interested in the mpg. It's a Prius! yes, my family and I know it gets good gas mileage. but nobody cares. We just drive. Weird country folk.

Of 18,000 miles of driving from August 2016 through May 2017 I am averaging 56.5 MPG (US), that's 4.2 L/100km for those who use the metric system. I live near the Smoky Mountains and have done mostly "country" road driving with some highway. I will also note that yes, the Gen 4 Prius will go 115 MPH and it handles high speed much better than I expected at least when compared to the Prius C. Mind you the regular Prius is rated 54 city / 50 highway based on EPA and very clear that most of us are achieving that with ease. I don't really hypermile. I think sometimes I do, but usually I find myself running late for work. Sometimes my commute to work which is more downhill than work to home I have hit 85 MPG and on the way back still be able to hit 60 or close to it.
You don't need to take them with a grain of salt - you just need to divide by 1.2 (actually 1.2009499255398 but 1.2 is close enough) That'll give you US mpg So 100 mpg/UK is 83 mpg/US
Two days old and this is incredible! I'm used to 117 miles to be at almost half tank. I love this car!
We've had a 2007 Prius for 5 years and typically have gotten mid- 40s to 50mpg. We've been driving our new 2017 Prius Two Eco for a week. 532 miles and was showing just under half a tank used. I was getting concerned the fuel gauge was off- that's more miles than we'd typically get from a whole tank with the old one. Filled it with only 7.2 gallons= 73.89mpg I knew it was going to get interesting when I ran out for pizza the night we bought it and got 117.3 mpg for the 5 mile round trip. My wife took a picture tonight of the first 2.5 miles of a trip where she got 198.8 mpg. It's night and day better than the 2007 in all respects. It's quiet; feels more solid on the road; seats are even more comfortable than the 2007, which I've driven the 2007 in comfort for 24 hours straight with only stops for fuel and food; and the fuel economy- wow.
After the 117.3mpg trip, the car rated my driving technique at a 71 of 100. So, if 117mpg is 70% of the max performance, should I have gotten another 50mpg if I had driven with a 100/100 technique? Or does the car just have an attitude?
It has an attitude. The score is a "fun" game but a high score does not necessarily mean the best driving. You need to keep up with traffic at a comfortable temperature. On my Two I got 59 mpg on the 150 mile highway trip home from the dealer in October. Here in the foothills after a Virginia winter my cumulative mpg is around 63 I think. We find the seats uncomfortable for long trips. Enjoy your new car.
I find the mpg numbers are misleading and inaccurate. The mileage number varies quite a bit depending on when I refuel the tank. I'm supposedly getting 63 mpg for 3/4 of a tank? but after refueling it drops to 58 and stays there. It doesn't concern me. I think those displays and scores are just there to amuse the bored Prius driver. Or the owners with ADHD Now I ignore them. Refuel whenever. Drive fast & furious. Enjoy the car.
Some people compare the displayed mpg with computed values using the amount of fuel added for the number of miles traveled. They have found the displayed value to be about 5-7% optimistic. I calculated mine once and found mine to be about 10% high. If I see 66 mpg I mentally think it is 60 mpg which is still very good.
