Ramp clearance

    I thought I was going to have a problem loading my 2004 Prius onto my tow dolly. I found if I put 2X6 boards on the ramps it would load up just fine. To keep the boards in place while loading I cut slots across the front edge bottom and these drop over the back tie down rods.
    I take them off afterwards and stow them in the RV.

    Best to do that on concrete or pavement.

    I have a 2013 Prius five and the Rhino Ramps did not work. I don't know how many different variations of Rhino ramps are made.

    I purchased mine at Advance Auto and they are listed as

    "Rhino Gear RhinoRamp" on the website.

    Guess I will need to take some measurements. I didn't do a ton of research, just noticed a lot of people stating they use Rhino Ramps. I don't think my car is unique, just a stock one with oem wheels and tires.

    Some people have had success with adding a 2x4 in front of the ramp to put the car at a different approach angle. Worth a try.

    +1, you'll need to lay them lengthwise. They need to be long enough to span the distance between the ramp and the front wheels before driving the car up the ramps. If you have the ability to cut the 2x4 or 2x6 at a 30 degree angle, it'll make driving up onto the wood easier.
