Is there an expected change in mileage from season to season, based on differing air density due to temperature changes?

2 variables that will help fuel efficieny in the heat - get windows tinted and purchase a light color car (ie white).....less need for AC...means better efficiency.

never understood why somone would buy a black prius...kinda negates the efficiency perspective (whether negligble or not)

Yes, there is, but I doubt anyone could pin it on air DENSITY as opposed simply to OAT and AC use.

I've had 4 Priuses, and they all have gotten increasing MPG with increasing OAT, all the way up to 100 degrees---without AC use (when I used to just test it). If you can do completely or mostly without AC, the ideal MPG temp is about 80-85.

When my last pip starts blinking, I routinely have 150-200 miles left.

I concur. With OATs between 100'F and 105'F lately and A/C in continuous use my fuel economy dropped 5%-10%.
