I think that's what Pat was wishing at the time... You know, this crazy group should get together again.
He has reason to smirk, and if that's all he's doing, we're all safer for it. I can assure you the mental images in his mind and the ones in yours are quite different.
Sadly, I missed that event Trust me on this: if you saw the mental images in my sinister mind, you'd run away screaming in terror
I live with two teenage girls, a puppy, and a wife going through menopause. Nothing scares me. Horror movies are fun. The only nightmares I get are after watching the evening news.
[Sound of Jayman on all fours, kissing the carpet, thankful he is happily single] I suggest heavy drinking
I am still disappointed that I wasn't suggested for the role of PriusChat Stud. It must have been an oversight. Tom
Two teenage girls and a menopausal wife? No wonder you're the king of one liners. You're probably used to not getting a word in edgewise and have to sneak your quick comments in at just the right time. (and then slink back to your man cave to hide).
I've mentioned that I've had the opportunity to 'hike' with Hyo. He doesn't slink. He hikes. He runs. He spends an incredible amount of time in the great outdoors. I think the whole world is his 'man cave'! He's impossible to keep up with. Pretty difficult to keep up with the one liners, too
Sigh. Yes. I wanted a boy dog, but they weren't comfortable with the...uh...visible boy parts. So the next question, and not just in my mind, was 'who goes, if they're not compatible? The dog? Or the wife?' I'm not sure I can make that decision. We've discussed this. She thinks the dog's trying to drive her crazy. She thinks I'm trying to drive her crazy. I say 'No, dear, if I were trying, you'd be there by now.' And I can tell she's thinking about that. So it won't be long. More resigned to the fact than entirely used to it, but yeah. Probably related somehow to my ten thousand posts here. I prefer thinking to talking anyway, so it sorta works out, but still. No, none of those rumours you're spreading are true. Especially these ones. I spend an incredible amount of time sitting in front of the computer, wishing I was outdoors. And I said I get the runs.
:focus: OK. I know this is Fred's (a place I rarely visit -- really, I don't even peek most of the time), but I thought maybe the thread would stay on point with all of the high-powered posters involved! How about this: JimboK -- You can always get more MPGs. Wayne (FireEngineer) -- You can always get an EBH. Bob (bwilson4web) -- You can always graph it. John (john1701a) -- You can always find it on his site. hill -- You can always leave earlier in the morning for better FE. Rick (HTMLSpinnr) -- You can always keep the prior Prius. Patrick (Patrick Wong) -- You can always depend on this info. Alan (windstrings) -- You can always be surprised. Not that you can ALWAYS count on consistency, but some of you folks have really proven exceptional not only in skill and valued additions, but also in a certain predictability. (And my apologies for leaving out too many folks. I was determined to have some sort of theme going on.) OK. Now I'll go back to the brightly-lit part of the board . . .
I already have that role Oh, wait a minute ... are you talking about studded tires?? I think I'm in the wrong forum Nonsense Hmmm, don't you find that a bit scary? How about evil henchman? :tsk: It's far worse than I could have imagined [Sound of Jayman on all fours, kissing the carpet, thankful he is happily single] Lay off the fiber for awhile
And yet, there are joys you will never experience. In spite of my complaints, I know the grass isn't always greener. Parenting can be the most rewarding and fulfilling role a person could ever have. I've tried reading bedtime stories to cats, and it's just not the same. It was a joke. You know, like when one person says something and the other hears something completely different? "...he runs..." "What? You've got the runs?" My diet's fine, really. And, I suppose, there are times I say too much. Back to your regularly scheduled programming....
All I can think about now is swizzle sticks, did someone say something? There does need to be a repeat gathering but I need to knock a hole in my mortgage before I head overseas again. I'm glad to be a parent but I'll be happy to be single again too.
My cats appear to really enjoy bedtime stories. I can read them anything at all, even the junk mail, and they're spellbound by it I know. Apparently, I have to work on my delivery ... I have no doubt
But I would also add: Ken@Japan - who has brought us so many gems of knowledge Doug Schafer - environmental scientist, thinker and Prius pioneer Team Prius - Doug and Erica, an example for every car maker krousdb - and the first Prius marathon VABeachPrius - another skilled driver and empiricist I like to think we stand on the shoulders of giants, the pioneers, and not their toes.
