Possibly. Ignorance simply being the "lack of knowledge". However my wife has seen Gen 2's for years as our neighbor has 2 and when I get excited about the 2010 and tell her about the changes, especially the styling, she say's "I don't see the difference". She's knowledgable so she's not ignorant. She's my wife so I won't call her stuipd. She is simply like the majority of the non-Prius world and just doesn't care. "It's just a car" is where a lot of people are and they can't identify by brand most cars on the road.

She is looking forward to parking the 14 mpg Expedition to get into the 50 mpg 2010 Prius. The differences will become more obvious to her after it sits in the garage a while. If not I'll make her sit in the garage until she "gets it".

The 2010 Prius is a good looking car compared to other Hybrids. Comparing it to all cars...well I don't think it is. It's a 2 out 5. I'd say my 2008 Accord is a 3 out of 5 (average).
The interior of the 2010 Prius is a 3.5(maybe 4) out of 5 and my 2008 Accord is a 3 out of 5.

I do not know. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I don't see that many cars on the road, especially 4 door cars that are that much better. It is "different" but not unattractive, as many cars are. When you try to wrap this much interior room in what appears to be a compact car from the outside and then wrap it in the smoothest body on the market that's a pretty incredible feat when you make it attractive too. Sure I wish it looked like a minerature G8GT or Camaro but I can't have everything. 2 out of 5 is a 40%. That an F in school or butt ugly in people. I don't see it nearly that way.

A lot of cars have "odd" features. The newest Accord just doesn't look right to me. Can't pinpoint it, but I don't like it. Wanted an A6 a few years back and waited on the new ones but hated the grill on Audi's and then they ended up putting it on all of them. Used to have "classic" BMW's but the new styling doesn't do it for me. But I realize it does for a lot of people. Love the Cadillac CTS but somehow GM was not able to squeeze enough interior space in it for 4 adults.

I'd have to give it at least a 4 out of 5 with the realization that it would be impossible to make it too much better looking and still accomplish the small exterior / large interior and meet the 0.25 aerodynamics That's a 5/5 for the Engineering/design team
