That looks great. Thanks for sharing that. I've been waiting on the edge of my seat for months since I made the original post for someone to install and take images. Any more photos? Daytime shots perhaps?

I notice you have a Touring (or Touring parts), so factory HID, did that require modification? The eBay listing noted that it was for halogen only.

That looks fantastic. I'm going to assume those projectors are the POS projectors that usually come with these housings (learned that through a few retrofits myself).

When the price drops to a more reasonable level, I'm definitely doing this with TL projectors. :0)

I also noticed there are two turning wheels to adjust height. Why would you need two?

    that looks great
just right for daylight running lights if you want those.

also like to see low beam picture's
    are those rings led's?

??? if your car is loaded with stuff and the back of you car go's down and the front gets up then the light beam is not pointing at the ground but in the air.. so you need to adjust it.

They are CCFL, brighter than LED they said. CCFL life cycle won't be as good as LED.... If they dies, I don't think you can replace them.

Look at the pic below. It has two knots to adjust height. OEM halogen housing comes with one. I was wondering what the other one is for. Turn signal? It doesn't make sense.

PLEASE post a pic of the beam pattern against a vertical surface (garage door or similar).

It would be ideal to use brighter LEDs. The second knot could be to rotate (twist) the beam.

is the direction of the light still correct?
like that the left headlight is not shining to the left of the road blinding other cars from the other direction.?

The sharp cut-off looks good. It's too bad we can't get a side-by-side comparison with a stock Prius headlight at night on the road or in a wide alley. That would be ideal, but I realize it's probably asking too much. It would be good to see if the light is diminished at all, and how much if so.

I would only want the chrome version if I participated in a group buy -- but it would still be good to get more pics/comparisons before you spend 250-300 bucks.

Does anyone know how difficult these are to install? I read in another thread that the front fenders needs to be rolled forward (or something like that).

they look fine to me - plus remember these have the up/down + left/right adjustments if you want to fine tune.

+1 on the all chrome housing.

...and I'm pretty sure the front bumper needs to be removed to install new headlights.

yep....found a video for removing the headlight assy...

Nice. The pattern looks pretty decent to me, though obviously not perfectly even like a high-end projector would be.

Yup, I meant to write front bumper. Have NO idea why I typed front fenders. With dyslexia like that I'd probably install them where the tail lights belong.

hmm... the cut off is nice. However, the light is concentrated at the center and the sides are dim.

probably/could just be the pic.....cutoff is much much better than the halogens

this is a pic of my HID kit in the OEM halogen headlights, its not a very accurate depiction either....

    Nice Job speedsta,
Too bad they can't be linked into left/right steering like the Lexus ... that'd be way cool ... self adjusting ... self leveling, and left/right cornering lighting too. I'm too spoiled.

speedsta seems to have dropped off the face of the earth 4 days ago. Looking forward to some more pic's. The color may be maroon / salsa-red pearl ... as mentioned lighting makes it look different. The color charts don't show any chocolate maroon colors for the swiss '04-'09.

Toyota Reference - Information and Specs for all USA Toyota, Lexus and Scion Cars

Then again, it may be the Switzerland version of Earl Sheib ... a repaint.
    ;)

Why are the tops of the head light beams 'cut-off' looking? You normally never see such a sharp break in a beam, unless part of the beam is blocked, by an object, some distance from the light source.

nah...some cutoffs are like that -- here's an IS350 with an HID kit installed into halogen projector beams.
