Yeah I crawled under there to see and I wasn't seeing seeping or anything from the shock itself, buddy of mine said the collars may be a little loose but ill just throw it up on a jack after my test tomorrow and see if I can find anything.

another thing I like to do is pry on everything that could move with a big prybar. if its a bushing or loose nut, it'll be obvious. also, are you sure the top shock bolts are tight?

I mean it seems like everything is tight and when I am taking a turn there isnt any flexing or anything from what I can tell, only when I am going over bumps, the rear shock mounts are behind the battery pack right? Should be able to take look back there by taking those 3 or 4 bolts out and sliding the battery out of the way to check the mount.

the rear shock mounts are behind the side panels in the cargo area. if you haven't cleaned out your hv battery fan yet, pull the rh side panel to clean the fan, and check the shock mount while your in there. I did find a mouse nest next to my hv battery when I cleaned out my hv fan.

Holy crap, well I will definitely do that. I am just really annoyed with the noise and don't want something severe to happen and die or something.

what could have caused the bushing to fail? maybe someone makes poly bushings for corolla/matrix.

The fact I live on an island that doesn't invest in its infrastructure to improve roads because it could wash away in less than 10 years caused it to fail lol. Probably because the massive potholes and bumps, with slightly lowered suspension. Just bottomed out one too many times I guess. I ordered new bushings from KSport and will replace both of the rears when I get them in.

So a lot has been done to the pissed off prius over the past few months. I was flip flopping back and forth whether to get new wheels and tires or not. Needless to say I finally bit the bullet and got some bitchin Sparco wheels meant for the Subaru Legacy (same bolt pattern though). Ended up going with the red because I figured why be normal and get black wheels. I also put ceramic EBC slotted rotors and yellowstuff pads on there to have better braking for the larger and slightly heavier wheels. and after 200K miles the poor thing needed new control arms since those bushings were more than tapped out. So I bought new control arms, painted them red and threw them on the car. Also finally about to graduate which means more time to the car once I stop living and breathing school. I think the next thing is finding an exhaust set up I like but everything I am finding is for the 2010 Gen 3. Which brings me to my question, will a Gen 3 2010 tenabe medallion exhaust fit a 2008 Gen 2? upload_2017-4-26_12-10-10.png This exhaust was on the AIMGAIN site and they said it was for the 2010 and Tenabe has a medallion touring set up for a 2010 as well. I really don't want to go through the hassle of fabbing a custom one if I don't have to because if I do a custom exhaust I'll most likely end up doing a rear mount turbo as well and thats quite the undertaking. 4D3C46B5-4FFA-407B-9C87-F18D5C5460FA.jpeg 8F5392B9-CE4B-4094-9DD5-BD7DE948A2E0.jpeg 25F5B38A-79E5-4936-BDAB-A63D5C6E32D5.jpeg 119B0281-590F-4ABA-8331-2B533B97F68F.jpeg 221E4FCD-CCD5-4724-A086-A10956D82431.jpeg 7052A22D-E462-42D2-8949-65C0CFCE45B5.jpeg F975C04F-30B6-4F46-9005-9D7DD555BBAE.jpeg

    Looks good!

Don't think anyone has tried a Gen3 exhaust. I would guess you would have a better chance of a Yaris/echo/corolla/matrix exhaust bolting up then a Gen3.

I was looking into the Yaris stuff the other day actually for their turbo kits. I think its really just making sure the flanges are right and the hangers will match up as decently as possibly.

the yaris exhaust is similar, but probably would need a lot of modifying. there is a stainless yaris performance exhaust on ebay, and if I wasn't a cheapskate and already have too many projects half-finished, I'd get it and try to make it work.

I'm going to do some research into the fitments of both cars and see if it's doable.

Well guys a sad day here in Texas, Pissed off prius is pretty much totaled. I was driving around and got T-Boned by some dude that failed to yield. Fortunately everyone involved was not hurt (the old man who hit me was shaken up and very apologetic, I was really pissed but was courteous.), unfortunately this is the second accident pissed off prius has had, and think Geico may just cut its losses. Hoping to know more tomorrow regarding its fate.

Ouch... can't "like" that post. Two nicely modded prius in Texas totalled this month Glad to hear everyone was ok. What are your plans now? Geico was who covered the person who hit me - the totalled my car as well. Not sure if Farmers who I had would have done any different though - my damage was over $5k - hard to justify that my car with 160k on the clock is worth more even if I do considering what they go for these days.

Wow both of your prius were totaled within weeks of each other, that's insane. Totally sucks ;(.

There is no confirmation that it's totaled yet, but it's for sure looking that way. Ideally they are able to repair it with all my mods, realistically they are going to write it off and I am prepping for the worst. If they do that maybe it's time for a gen 3? What are your plans?
