Well, since I had the G's Headlights / Tailights might as well start saving up for the G's Wheels :sneaky::sneaky:

So with the help of my good Friend that lives in Japan, he was able to source me out some wheels!

As per recommendation from some of the folks at Prius Chat, the Continental DWS Extreme Contact tires were a perfect fit!

Hello. @Accordlayingkit sent me your way. I also have these license led lamp replacement that I would like installed but after getting some instructions from @sfv41901, it's a bit more involved that I thought.

Was it simple? Did you break any clips?
Do you have any advice so I can install with no problems that I can run into?
Any help would be great. I don't want to start it and not get it back together. Thanks.

Not sure if you are referring to the license led lamps, but if you are, things went well. Thank goodness. Your ride looks great. Keep at it.

It is a cool mod. Checked it out last night and it's pretty bright. I guess the cops will appreciate it. Easier for them to write and hand out the tickets. Hahaha.

    Here we go again.....................

Decided to buy the Toyota G's back bumper to continue on the theme of a full exterior conversion :cautious:

    DSC00780.JPG

This bumper comes from Toyota of Japan which is already painted with color code 070 (Blizzard Pearl)

All pieces came neatly packed from the factory with part numbers to each corresponding piece needed for the transformation.

What's up with the red in the passenger taillight and not the driver side?

    Very good question!

It is a factory option for a rear fog light. "Rear fog lamps (or'fog taillamps') have since the 1970s been mandatory equipment on all cars sold in countries that adhere to European (ECE) vehicle safety Regulation 48"

Many people do point out that i have a reverse light out when backing up, respectfully i tell them 'thanks' without the long story of that light being a fog light ;)

Very interesting build. Based on your mods, your goals are clearly not typical of a Prius owner.

The rear stress bar really confuses me though. Since the rear is a trailer arm, there's no lateral load transferred to that rear brace... o_O

Are those the Jdm door handles? I'm thinking about picking these up....same yeah? Will I have any issues installing them being that the Jdm prius is right hand drive.

Oops! The picture you might be referring to is from the trunk of my Acura Integra:oops:

Also thanks for the kind words!

Yes, they are the same JDM handles from your last post. GOOD EYE! The funny thing is that those same JDM handles are taken from a 2014 Toyota Venza which is readily available in the States :sneaky: In fact, the handles were still in the original Toyota packaging when I received the parts.

The handles are a direct fit and should include instructions for installation. It took me about an hour for the complete install (y) Unfortunately - there is no SKS sensor for the passenger door  which can be a pain to unlock your door from the passenger side.

I did end up taking off the handles and had my original PIP door handles painted Pearl White to match the car ;)

    Love the G rear valance!

I'm ready to vinyl my Volt to get the same look.

Looks clean and not over done. Nice work.

    Lets continue.......

To improve the handling characteristic of the Prius - the decision was to purchase the TRD Sway Bar (y)
(Currently this part has been removed and replaced with another JDM Goodie - to be reviewed in the future)

    DSC00810.JPG

The TRD Sway Bar was very easy to install! Thanks to the Prius Chat members for the very helpful instructions.

With the combination of a lowered car and the latest addition of a Sway Bar, the handling characteristic of the Prius was a complete Day and Night difference. Could this all be the Placebo effect? Was it worth the price?

Well it was time to put these parts to a test..........

    adams.jpg

Adams Motorsports Park is located in Riverside, California - where they host Time Attack Tuesday and Drift Night Thursday. This track is a very technical road course in which it all depends on the driver and not the car. You can have a high horsepower car but still get beat by a very good handling Miata.

The Prius is considered a momentum car on this Track, so the less braking into the turn the better my times will be ;););)
