PriusChat or ToyotaChat?

In some ways these new cars are a lot like old cars. I change my own oil. I rotate my own tires. I still use tire chains and drive a 2WD in snowy icy mountainous areas. I change my transmission oil. I flush out my radiator. I change my own spark plugs and sway bar links and shocks by changing the springs over from off the struts. I change my own CV axles. And I also change my own brake pads, bulbs, and wipers of course.

But twice I've bought and tried that (illegal) TIS software and USB to OBDII dongles that came with and haven't been able to get it to work on several different computers. So I can't change over my own TPMS sensor codes from my summer rims to my winter rims. I can't access all the valve functions on the brake controller to do a proper brake fluid flush. I also can't get my integrated infotainment/climate control center to work properly either. Speaking of which, I bought an infotainment dash for several hundred dollars and am trying to get it in and working. Hopefully I figure it out, but don't have much hope as I can't find a lick of information of anyone anywhere who has done this successfully.
