Gripe: I used to always use the My Assistant page to view my last 10 posts. This doesn't seem to exist on the new system.

This is not a minor issue. It's a major privacy issue. By importing the "Log In" names instead of the "Display Names", you have "outed" members like me. So, please handle name change requests ASAP.

I sure do miss the old low-fi version that I was able to set as default, both for thread lists and postings. Got a lot more on a page and loaded faster.

Thanks for all the work you put into this very valuable source of information.

Not to be mean or anything, but I liked the old fourms better.

    List of complaints (no offense)

    1. Would not recognize my login, had to reset password.

    2. Quick reply does not work.

    3. Not a way to bookmark a thread's end (useful for threads like "Word" "Two Words" "Only Three Words" "the next poster game" "Google Maps Scavenger Hunt") Well, at least I couldn't find it.

    3. I don't care for the new format. Having the user info on the top seems to break up the thread. Having the front page with latest threads, news, search and so on was nice.

Other than that it's still O.K.

One good thing I noticed was that there wasn't a crash and it doesn't seem to be slow.

I should be able to help with at least this one...
When you click on "View New Posts" the list of threads you haven't read comes up.

There's a column that says "Last Post"
Go to the row that has the thread you're interested in and then the "last post" column.
Within that column is the name of the user who made the last post and a [IMG] symbol. Click that arrow and you'll go directly to the last post.

Likewise, if you want to go to the last post you'd read in a thread click the [IMG] arrow next to the Thread title.

    maybe a bug

I have tried 2x to make 'fast replies'. After typing them and sending, I am forwarded to another screen that tells me that I must enter a subject line. The text box seems to be wiped clean of my previously entered fast reply.

I have little understanding of this type of software, but it looks like a bug to me.

Does the link it sends you to spicifically say to go to a spicific post in the thread or does it go to the last post regardless of what post # it is the the thread?

System logged me out... lost a posting

How long does the system allow me to be logged in? I was logged in, checked new posts, read through a few and then replied to one. By the time I was done replying (maybe 20mins total had passed because I got distracted with an activity), I hit 'Submit' and had been logged out. Lost the entire posting.

    Can't Change Signature

I can't change my signature. Whenever I try to change my signature --- even if I want to delete characters or want to make a stylistic change ---it tells me that I'm limited to 500 characters.

    What's up with that?

I checked your poll and it showed 59 people voted (then I voted to make it 60), but I hadn't voted in your poll before, so I don't know if would have lost the fact I had already voted or not. I can re-vote in the poll I created (http://priuschat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37447). I'm trying to think of a poll I voted in but didn't create...I haven't voted much these last few months...

I noticed the profile picture is limited to 100x150 pixels but the avatar can be larger, previously it was the other way around (something was accidentally reversed?)

Would be nice if we could have the option to put the avatar & poster information could be put on the left rather than the top. I see there is an option to not display signatures, I'm thinking that might be nice. Some people really get carried away with signatures longer than their posts, which can be distracting when hycamguy and F8L get in an argument (not that they would do that!)

WYSIWYG editor apparently not yet functional, I get the same interface as before except the new smilies are on the right and there's a couple more formatting buttons on top.

    Does seem to load fast.

    going loopy

The links to PriusSV and iPodinBox.pdf don't work on the PriusChat shop page (http://priuschat.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/66). The suggested links put you in a loop.

2nd problem - when posting this message as a quick response, it jumps to the reply to thread page and tells me the message is too short - lengthen to at least 1 character.

Thanks Danny for the update. One thing: The quick reply seems to not like me. I type, I type, and it tells me that I have not typed enough.

    Me so confused.

    Hey Danny,

Nice to see that you switched over to vbulletin! I've run it on my own site since the summer (since moving away from integramod/phpbb) and it's been rock-solid and very fast!

Once you've got the bugs worked out of the forums, you might want to add the VBadvanced CMPS portal - it works very well (and it's free).

Love the new software. Most of my favorite forums use this software. :)

One gripe with the upgrade - All the threads I was "Watching" with the old software didn't get migrated over to the new software under "Subscriptions".
Edit: Found another annoyance: Some avatars are huge, for examples bwilson4web's avatar is much larger than the 150x100 limit. Not sure if this was because of the upgrade process, or it slipped through after the upgrade.

    So far so good, otherwise!

Thanks for the hard work Danny.

The quick response window at the bottom of each page hasn't worked for me yet. I've lost 2 posts now, the best posts I have ever written!!

I'm also having issues with the quick reply. Fortunately, hitting "back" has recovered them so I could post via "go advanced".

I also preferred having the names/avatars/etc. down the left side so as not to break up the posts too much. Is there an option to set the layout up like that again?

Is there a way for me to delete a reply of my own? I seem to be able to edit no problem, but can't delete a reply entirely.

    Good job otherwise though!

Suggestion to all: Re-enter your location. It didn't carry over. I've already seen posts in other threads that could be better answered if the respondents know the OP's location.

Question for Danny/mods: I don't see where vehicle info (year, package, etc.) can be (re)entered, except in the sig. Am I missing it?

    Posting problem?...

I added a post this morning, then used View New Posts and it didn't show up. Then a Search for posts by me showed it at 9:31AM, but it's still not in the New list...

Oddly, when someone replied to that post, I could see it, but then my reply is again not in the New list...

OK, I get it: we've gone from having to mark posts as read to having them only listed when we haven't read them yet. That doesn't give the same warm feeling as when you can SEE that your post was accepted...
