I really do appreciate this feedback Chapman. As much as I've been wanting to tackle this, a mix of Texas heat along with recently sinus attacks have hindered me from being able to get more information on it. However, based on your info, I might be getting the 351 sub code, but obviously I can't say this without actually pulling up Techstream and looking into it (which I will do later on tonight).

For the other issue with my inverter, I still haven't been able to go to the dealership as of lately because we just got a brand new fridge in today and been having to constantly get bags of ice to keep our bodies regulated. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better so that I won't have anymore issues & I can actually fill up the coolant tank.

Ok so here's my latest; so I was able to fill up the inverter coolant tank, but apparently my level was higher than I thought and I accidently overfilled the tank, causing it to spill over. Unfortunately there's no real way to see the proper level of it from the side because of how much dirt is on the sides. I did put the cap back on, but now worried that it won't run properly since I overfilled it. Now for the hybrid battery pack, the official code is p0a0d-350. The orange safety plug is properly locked down, so that's definitely not an issue. Based on another post in these forums, I'm starting to wonder if the actual inverter itself just needs to get replaced.

Btw, I did a quick Google search and was able to find a manual for Lexus, but I honestly have no idea how different the code and layout would be in terms of figuring out how to determine the overall culprit. Here's the link: GSIC - Global Service Information Center

Why are you so intent on throwing parts at this problem? The circuit involved is straight forward and some testing will point you in the right direction.

The hybrid vehicle control ecu supplies a (very low current) voltage (IDK if it's 12V or 5V) on pin 1 of the H15 connector - the ILK circuit.

When the service plug (HV battery fuse holder) is in the locked position, AND the inverter cover is properly seated, THEN the ILK circuit is connected to ground and pulled low to 0V.

If the ILK is "not at 0V", then P0A0D is set. So you can use a digital multimeter to check different parts of the ILK circuit to find where it's "not at 0V" while the car is powered on. Screenshot_20240720-220120.jpeg

Hey there, sorry just had family come into town so had to make sure that the house was properly clean for them. Ok, so I found another pdf that showed me where the H15 connector was (unfortunately your diagram didn't show me this). So I'll have to pull out the passenger side paneling in order to get to the hybrid vehicle control ecu. However, once I pull the H15 plug out, I'll have to find a pdf on which slot is the ILK or whatever it is that I need to better understand the voltage based on what you guys are saying.

Also to Brian, unfortunately I did read the post and it wasn't very helpful because the guy just talked about a 'white wire', but never did specify what he meant by that and therefore I found it confusing. I do appreciate you posting about it however.

So unfortunately I couldn't find any wiring diagram. Also I did inspect all the connectors going into the hybrid control ecu on the passenger side for any obvious signs, but didn't see anything. I did find a pdf on wiring routing positions, but that didn't help. Im thinking that I'll possibly have to pay all data just to get a pdf on the wiring from them. If worse comes to worse, then I'll just have to humble myself and send the car to a local mechanic (it looks like we only have 1 mechanic around that handles hybrid vehicles) because I didn't spend $ on a brand new hybrid battery just to surrender it.

Similar issue in that I'm also trying to find the IC1 connector as well.

Well, as you know from the link above you'd have to spend $25 to get the diagram and other docs direct from Toyota, the question becomes how far ahead of $25 are you going to come out by spending a lot of time and maybe some money looking for it other places?
