Prius v Problems & Complaints.

TX; just picked mine up last night. I asked about an upgrade, but they said I already have the latest. When are you supposed to take the vehicle in for upgrades?

 

I should not have to show proof of anything, Especially to Nfsfbr, who surely does not understand facts and reality, as well as appears very judgmental.. But for those of you who would like confirmation as to what was said regarding the Rear Speakers, I recorded the Voice Mail and will try to add it to this later today.

Issues –


USB drawing to much power –

Was your phone being used for an extended period of time outside the vehicle being this issue happened? Sometimes the available ram memory may cause weird things happen. If the issue still happens while the phone is just freshly turned on, please make sure the Entune software version is 2.1 or higher (the latest is 3.2 and I will ask the dealer to update that for you regardless). Also, if possible, try another USB cable.

Bluetooth playing music, it was skipping on every song it played –

Similar to the first issue above, was your phone being used for an extended period of time outside the vehicle being this issue happened? Sometimes the available ram memory may cause weird things happen. Also, did the condition disappear after unplug/replug the cable?

Is it still happening daily? If so, please try your phone in another vehicle at dealer with the same system. If the condition also happens in another vehicle, please make sure your iphone has the latest IOS version and Entune 3.2.

The Navigation system rebooted itself –

After dealer has confirned this condition, they will know how to proceed.

I am testing this issue myself and I am suspecting this issue may be related to the nav system rebooting itself issue.

The latest Entune version is currently 3.2 If this is what you have, you should be up to date. Az for the Crappy Rear speakers, this is something that we have to fix ourselves, as Toyota will not do anything and continuing with how is currently is (Within their specified guidelines.) I am not sure about any time frame on upgrades, or if they make you pay for upgraded versions, so stay with the chat here, as there are some very knowledgeable people who are helpful also.

 

how about a class action suit from v owners?

 

Really? You care that much about what I said that you call me out? And yet, I predicted this exact result. I'm not judgmental, but if anyone lacks a grasp of facts and reality it would not be me. Enjoy your Prius v with the stereo system exactly like it was when you bought it!

 

LOL, does not matter anyways, as the issue is fixed of what the main issue with the stereo was. good luck with all your problems. first car. HAHA.

My regular 2015 non-JBL liftback with the same stereo does the same exact thing. The rear speakers are basically non-existent even when completely faded to the rear and cranked up.
