1) MPG: 54.3 over 36000 miles (I drive ~100 miles/day for work).

Dude, the metric number given can't change, so use that to get your answer. (www.evworld.com has a metric<->U.S. converter for mileage related measurements, if you don't want to use a hand-held calculator).

Back to the survey:
1) For me, my last fillup brought me to 50.01 mpg, lifetime. (18 months, 16,000 miles)
2) Yes - except their commercials last spring which listed the top EPA estimate of 60mpg. That is the only claim that is misleading for the common consumer. Everything else is more than promised.

 

We just put on 2000 miles and have our 2008 now for a month.
We are averaging about 48 mpg.
I guess we are still breaking it in.

 

1) Last tank: 52.2 per dash display, 51.7 manually calculated.

2) Yes.

P.S. Where do you go to school?

 

1) 45.3mpg (calculated manually, the MFD is a bit higher), for the first 33k miles

We are at 45.8mpg, but we only have 7800 mi on the odometer. Hoping it will get better when it breaks in.

Yes, Toyota is delivering what it promised. Hopefully TMC will provide a family Prius one day (like a minivan)

Yes, Toyota promised a vehicle to get from point A to point B... and the Prius does just that... and more.

 

My son talked me into buying a Prius about 2 years ago. I kept my older Ford Explorer 4x4 for the worst weather here in PA. Needed that security. I have to say that I have been SO pleased with the Prius. I have relegated the Ford to to the back of the driveway. Run him once a week to get the flat spots out of the tires. And to keep him ready to get through bad weather. But Lola is my Baby. In summer, she runs 50-55 mpg. Now that it is getting cooler and I need the heater in the mornings--49.5 mpg. But I still pat the dashboard and tell her I love her.
The price of regular gas is now $3./gal. regular here. 49.5 mpg vs 17 mpg?? Rather a no brainer.

 

I've had my 2006 for 16 months. it has 35827 miles I have bought 888.84 gallons of fuel for it..which comes to 40.30 mpg overall.
I don't baby this car..I drive it like I stole it... seriously I do drive it kinda hard. 75-85 on the freeway and first one off the line at lights.
I've got as high as 54mpg and as low as 29 mpg but usually about 45.
I can also haul 8 foot lumber in it. (hatch closed) and I've hauled a 400 lb fire proof filing cabinet.
Love the car for what its made to do.
I think the 60 mpg is obtainable if driven carefully.
Just bought a 6year/100k $0 ded. ext. warranty for $850.00 plus tax at my local dealer after mentioning a certain internet deal....

 

1.) Best tank so far: 55.6mpg, cumulative lifetime average: 52.46mpg
2.) Yes, the Prius delivers much more than I expected. It would be even better if I could plug it in at night and skip the gas pump.
