Wow, is everyone getting these sort of deals on the 18s? This is like at least $3500 below MSRP.

So here's what I'm looking for... A Prime Plus. I don't care much about features as the base models seem to come with plenty. The problem is that I live in the south east and what few Primes I can find are the Advanced trim which puts me over-budget (which the budget thing is a issue on its own). Seen a few posts about people getting a Prime Plus out the door, with tax, under $25k. Anyone got a deal like that on the eastern side of the US, say east of the Mississippi? ...with financing?

Don't get me wrong I like my Prius, but if I can get one for that sort of price and get the tax credit (I won't get the full $4,500 because I haven't had that much tax withheld) it will almost be a wash. Plus even better gas mileage.

Financing is always tricky and in order for me do this and make any sense is only if I get offered enough for my '16 Prius which probably by the time this might happen will roll over 60,000 miles and if I can come across one of these really good deals people are posting....and financing lol.

Of course the worst case scenario is I keep my Prius which has been averaging about 56 MPG over it's lifetime and is the NiMH model....so not too shabby.

The $4502 fed tax incentive has nothing to do with your tax withholding. As long as your tax liability is higher than 4502 you will get the full amount.
According to the below table, you will hit the full amount at around $36,000 adjusted gross income.

Pricing wise, I remember the Northeast region used to have the best Toyota rebate. It may be worth a trip up north to purchase and drive the car home or ship it home. This is based on my research around December 2017 when I bought my Prime

Liberty toyota in NJ just called and said they now have $3500 cashback on 2018 Prime, Toyota website isn't updated yet.
    Anyone finding higher incentive?

@neopunk1 Got to love the Tax system. Yeah I was wrong, so I looked at last year's tax return and using what I'm projected to make, the taxes withheld and assuming they use the same amount on line 5 on 1040EZ I still won't get the full $4500, but doesn't mean it isn't worth looking at...at least in my particular situation.

Toyota regularly has $2000-4000 cashback rebates, so I'd expect closer to $5k off msvp to be a real deal.

Is 30k quote decent for 2018 advanced trim? Considering federal and state credit, 25k out of pocket

Quote from the CA DMV web site for HOV decals:

"Note: For a vehicle purchased on or after January 1, 2018, the DMV cannot issue a CAV decal to an applicant who has received a consumer rebate through the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP)."

Anyone familiar with this? To me it sounds like a hybrid baught after Jan 1, 2018 can only have either a CAV decal or the CVRP rebate but not both. This makes the decision a little more expensive.

30k is middle of the road, as long as they have the $3509 rebate.

NJ dealer quoted me $29k and so far that's the best I can find.

Check your profile message. I cannot pm you from the mobile interface.

You need to read the whole statement in its entirety. There is an "unless" at the end of the quote having to do with taxable income threshold. Most will be ok except for the few who makes a good living. I thing its aim is toward the Tesla model S/X crowd.

West Herr in Williamsville, NY. I know it is some distance from you, but look at my earlier post on my deal.. Essentially:

    Retail: $28,393
    Selling Price: $26,129
Rebates: $3,850 ($2,000 Toyota Cash, $750 College Grad, $1,100 NYSERDA)
    Subtotal: $22,279
    Fees: $147.50
    Tax: $2090.32
    Total: $24,516.82

You wouldn't be eligible for the $1,100 NYSERDA (NY Residents only) and maybe not the $750 College. But, with the new $3,500 Toyota Cash, you'd make up for that. Depending on your tax rate (Mine was 8.5%), you could be out the door well under $25,000.

Sorry took me a while to post this but I was busy enjoying my new Prius prime!
Bought 2017 Prius prime advanced metallic dark gray with all weather mats at last weekend of August 2018. In north NJ. Retail price 34k. Invoice 33k. Talked them down to 28,887 plus TTL came out to 30k plus a trade in of 5k for final otd after trade in 25k. I asked the salesman how long it's been sitting in lot and he didn't wana say and kept saying why does it matter. I repeatedly said it matters a lot about the batteries both 12V and hybrid battery and other parts. He assured me they check all the cars monthly. I figured he was full of BS. But I checked manufact date on the inside door it's 11/2017. So I figured a couple months to get to the lot would be arriving to the lot about 2/2018 (wishful thinking) so maybe it's been there for 6 months(again wishful thinking). (Another toyota dealer in NY I called and said they had a 2017 prime advanced but been in lot for 12MONTHS and gave me a price over the phone of 27,800 plus ttl. But I'd rather take a car with later manufacturer date) So back to my new car: Then I checked the driving diary in the car and it said it was driven a couple miles here and there almost every month since then. So it hasn't been sitting in the lot un-driven. It had about 30 miles on it. I asked to change 12V battery but they wouldn't do it. So I figured it's got toyota care for 2 years, it test drive very well, and everything worked and was a good deal and made the deal.
I'm happy with it so far. Actually I love the car! But worried one day about it being a 2017 and sitting in lot. I think I might get the extended warranty. I normally don't get the extended warranty especially since it has toyota care for 2 years 25k miles, but I'm thinking b/c it is a 2017 and more electrical components could cost more to repair.
What does everyone think about getting extended warranty for 7 years?
