    Bought yesterday, cash,
    WA (Olympic Peninsula)
Prime Plus (basik trim), no extras
26K even (including $1500 Toyota rebate), so cost was 27.500
with tax of 8.8% and reg. out the door 28.540

I did get two of the same BOTTOM price offers at Toyotas of Seattle and of Puyallup,
they have higher taxes (~10.8%), so their purchase price was actually lower.
Local dealer was well aware of reg. $ difference and decided to better loose a customer, than go any lower.
Other words you CAN go lower and other two dealers did go lower, just did not make a diff to me (because of the same bottom line)
Also, at the very end I asked and did get price match on THE BOTTOM LINE.
So, here you go: use this, if you can.
P.S. Was in a rush of just two days purchase, but would get a better price, if had two weeks. There is a thread on slickdeals about HOW to buy a new car

P.P.S. There was actually a mention of something extra on my car, but I didn't care and still not sure what it is that I got (moldings etc.) :)

Think I did good last weekend, but hard to tell comparing various trim packages on here. Referenced this page before buying so thought Id contribute too.

    2018 Prius Prime Premium
    All weather mats
    bumper aplique
    hypersonic red
    sales price: $27,826 +TTL
    OTD price $29,000
    --------------------------
    Fed tax rebate: $4000
    CA state rebate: $1500
    SoCal edison rebate: $450
    Effective net price: $23,050

Put 1000 miles on it in the last week mostly long road trips averaging 69mpg. now if only DMV processes the plates so I can apply for the carpool sticker.
In case your in the area: purchased from Autonation Toyota Buena park. I shopped a few dealers from LA to San Diego and they offered me the best deal. Carlsbad Toyota has by far the largest inventory Ive seen of prius' and especially the prime.

Is that for a Plus, Premium or Advanced? Can you share the dealer name / email address via PM?

    Thanks

As others have said, it’s an Advanced. Purchased from Toyota Sunnyvale.

Drove back to Nashville over a couple days and just love the car. I discovered the Prius Chat website a few months ago when I thought about buying a Prime and really learned a lot about the car from so many good posts. Thank you for the wealth of information.

Hello, we are thinking about buying a new 2017 prius prime advanced thats prob been sitting in the dealers lot for a year now. I see theres only a couple 2017 left in my area (NY/NJ). I would imagine they are trying to get rid of the 2018 soon. I see others on this thread have bought new 2017 this year in July and got good deals. But I'm worried about it been sitting there for a year in the extreme hot and cold weather here. We will go test drive and everything. But just wondering what others think?

Does anyone know if you are able to get any of these state tax credits living out of that state? I've read a few and they didn't explicitly say anything about residency or exactly where rebate comes from (I.e. return of state taxes like fed rebate or what).

Looking specifically at Jim Coleman in MD. I live in Indiana, so none for my state and MD seems like one of the closest common dealers. Thanks!

the only worry is the 12v battery, everything else will be fine, as long as they give you a great deal.
just make a new 12 volt part of the deal.

Darn, that's what I figured but I had to ask haha. I'm hoping Indiana gets some Toyota rebates, but not likely unfortunately.

I don't think there are any incentives on the 2017s now. There's incentives on 2018s. I would wait til after labor day to see if they'll have discounts on the 2017s again.
