Thank you, this is now a good base price to negotiate with Balise in case anyone wants to, basically 13.08% off MSRP + mfg discounts.

Do you mean $28.5k out of door including $2000 Toyota rebate? Or $26.5k after $2000 off?

Agreed as well, was able to get a Premium in March for 28k OTD with the 2k cash back. But now I'm looking for another Prime for myself. Only advanced models really left, for the specific color i want. So now I'm looking for an advanced!

If anyone has a deal for an advanced in socal for 32kish OTD (with taxes) please message me!

An example: my second blizzard pearl Prius prime plus model 15.5k OTD (including federal rebate). Comes to 16.5k with tax/registration. Total steal. Not even sure if the 2017 plus models are available anymore.

I thought the fed rebate is $4502? And I saw I'd only get $1500 for state. We do get $450 from SCE too. But only $6,500 total not $10,500.

You’re right. I was thinking about the full EV’s, as I was cross shopping the Prius Prime with the Chevy Bolt. My bad. So that would be $23k out the door at the dealership.

They must sure love it, to push out those SUVs and trucks that way! The more Primes they sell, the more land barges that they can push out!

For California, that's a pretty good deal! Don't forget, IF you buy it in California, you'll get the California cash rebate (income dependent and variable, but new law: only available if you buy in California!)

Hey guys, I’m really lost with these different discount terminologies this forum is using compared to dealer’s website. I’d appreciate your help.

I’m looking to buy 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Premium Magnetism Blue. The Toyota website says MSRP is $29,695. Dealership website says $2,000 “incentive” and $672 “dealer discount.”

Is the “incentive” the same as “Toyota Rebate”? And is the “dealer discount” the same as “below dealer invoice”?

$2000 sounds like the Toyota rebate. You can check by going to Toyota's website, looking up the 2017 Prime and putting in the zip code. Dealer discount is usually taken off the MSRP.

In your example, that's not a good deal for a leftover 2017. PM people that have bought cars in your state for the names of the dealer and salesperson.

could be they are running low on 2017's and deals are harder to come by.

There appears to be a lot of 2017's that actually arrived at the dealerships in 2018. My 2017 was built 11/2017 and first arrived at the dealer in 1/2018. Don't know why they're still building 2017's that late into the model year.

If you're planning on keeping the car for a long time, so that depreciation is really not a part of the value equation, it'd be wise to find a late 2017 build to have all the TSB's already included in the factory.
