Prius Prime - official prices paid thread

I originally went to the dealership under the Costco plan but thought I wanted a Prius V. The Prime just made more sense for me (HOV lane stickers take 20 minutes out of my commute). They told me that Prime was not on the plan (which I also confirmed with Costco). The dealer did try to load on a bunch of useless stuff but I told then NO!

So I paid full msrp on the Advanced model. But I think I did about $1k better on my tradein (and $1500 better than Kelly BB online offer). So I guess it comes out about the same. I also took the .9% 60 month financing rather than pull money out of savings. Total interest for 5 years was about $600.

 

To anyone reading this before purchasing, if you're a Costco member, see if they have deals with your local dealer. We went in and paid invoice price (trying to find the particulars in my paperwork now) and there was no stress or haggling. I'm in San Diego and purchased at Frank Toyota in National City.

I live in Denver and tried the Costco Autobuying service. There was no dealer in Denver that had the car. Nearest they had a Prime was in Albuquerque.

I was told three days ago that the Toyota 1K rebate is no longer in effect in our region. The Toyota.com website seems to confirm that. If you can get 1K off MSRP now without that rebate, go for it. I got $545 off ($300 discount, plus $245 worth of accessories that I didn't originally request so they said I didn't have to pay for them).

 

What region? And is that only for the Prime?

Well, Northern NJ. Not sure what our Toyota region is. I entered my zip code on Toyota.com

ETA: Correct, no 1k for the Prime at this time. I think some of the other Prius lines still have the 1K rebate.

 

Got a quote for $29,400 OTD for Prime Plus in Gray. Is this a good deal? I live in Los Angeles County.

I paid no money down, did not trade a car in and financed $29,512 for 60 months at 0.9% financing.

 

Wow, that's a great deal. So you got $29,512 OTD for premium?

 

probably not. otd is different in every state. you should be asking for the price of the car, the additional charges and then the total otd price.

 

There is no sales tax in New Hampshire along with these 4 other states...Oregon, Delaware, Montana and Alaska.

It came with a port adaptor for the 12v outlet, 2 android charge cords and 2 iPhone charge cords. I use it for the passengers in the car while I use the wireless charging pad. The cords can also be used for the USB jack for audio connections to the radio without disturbing my Bluetooth connection to the car.

I heard that iphones don't have the capability to wirelessly charge so how can you use the wireless charging pad to charge your iphone? Did you get an adapter for your iphone?
