I got my Prime last week, the finance guy accidentally gave me the 0.9% Toyota financing AND the $3,500 Toyota Cash. Everything went through fine. I was sitting in the car setting up the GPS when the saleswoman came out and told me that there was a problem with the paperwork. She told me that I can't get both deals.
So, I went back in, Finance guy called Toyota and they decided to give me 2.8% financing (from Toyota) and the Toyota Cash.
I have good credit, 790's but my bank only offered 4.2% and the financing guy was only able to get me 5.4% through his banks. (This was my first car purchased on credit so that might be a factor.).

I'm happy with 2.8% and it's an awesome car.

Too bad no credit union option, since they almost always beat the bank interest rates.

My dealer wants to sell me a 2017 Prime Advance (Gray) for $30,149 on Long Island, and that's with my trading in my 2013 Persona for $6K. Not sure that's a good deal from this thread.. Any opinions?

Our local credit union is 1.7% for 60 months. You can also try Penfed.

Bad deal. I paid 28k for an Advanced with no trade. See earlier in this thread.

Pretty crazy, but I can beat it.

    I paid ~ 27k for a 2004 Prius
Earlier this year I paid $25.5k for the Prime+ but will receive ~ $9,500 in tax credits for a net cost of $16k

$11k difference before calculating the additional inflation.

Thanks everyone. I had to visit a friend near Norwood, and visited Boch on Saturday, they finally gave me following deal!

    Blizerd Pearl
    MSRP: 34604
Trade in: Prius III 2011 for 7000
    Car price after discounts: 27,999
Out of the door price with my trade-in: 23,220

They will deliver the car in couple of days.

My use of this vehicle would mostly be for work. My office is about 18 miles one way, but it's always rush hour going and rush hour coming back. We have charging stations at work, don't know if it is 240v or 120v yet. I have few questions.
    1. Do I need the 240v charger installed at home? If I plugin the vehicle most of the times at night and ready for morning?
    2. If I am lucky enough to get the parking at the spot where they have the charging station at work then my return will also be on electric drive. Does the money paid for the charger and the installation price pay for itself over the years?
    3. Which weather proof mats people buy these days and from where?

    Thanks

For my Gen 4, I bought theToyota all-weather mats from a seller on Amazon. It was less than my dealer or the PC Shop.

    1) You don't need it but if you are in a situation where you don't have an outlet conveniently located near the car and need to pay an electrician to come out anyway, you would be better off spending a little extra and getting a level 2 charger. The level 2 charger is also convenient for days you plan to run a lot of errands. The battery is fully recharged in about 2 hours with level 2. With level 1, it takes 6 hours; fine for overnight but frustrating during the day if you've got stuff to do.

    2) Nope. It's strictly a convenience issue 9 times out of 10.

    3) My car came with the factory all weather liners so I'm not sure.

Regarding the home L2 charger, I was blessed by the city of Anaheim with a $1000 cash rebate when I had my L2 charger installed! So yes, it can pay for itself, immediately. Often, other utilities also offer rebates, though not necessarily for as much. My charger lets me run all those errands and visit my local clients, always on electricity!!

Where I live not only are there no incentives, but the standard electric rate is insane (20+ cents/kwh) and you can't sign up for time of use rates unless your usage averages over 2,500 kWh/month.

How did your get 7000 for the trade in? They offered me 3500 for a 2010 Prius IV (134k miles, great condition).

Mine is 2011 and 75000 miles. They initially offered me 4500, but I told them that if they want to make the deal than I need 7k.
