Do you get the 4500 tax credit and any state credits on top of that?

You don't get the tax credit until you file your income taxes at the end of the year.

I understand that, was just asking if the price was still minus the tax credits or if he already factored that in. Sounds like possible to get a Prime Advanced in the mid 20's after all discounts, incentives and tax credits?

My wife and I purchased a Prius Prime Advanced each with All Weather Floor Liners one silver and one gray
    • MSRP:$34,379
    • Instant Savings:$300
    • Toyota Factory Incentive:$3,500
    • New York State Incentive $1,100
    • Haggled the price 300 lower
    • Final Price:$29,179
    • -2000 Trade in 2009 Prius with 180000 in poor condition
    • -9500 Trade in 2012 Prius Plug 92000
    • 46858
    • + 4053 Taxes
    • =50,911 The cash price paid for both cars
    • - 9004 Federal Tax Credit
    • = 41,907 Price after Federal Rebate for both cars.
We ended walking out after they offered us 7000 trade in for a 2012 Prius Plug with 92000 in good shape. We wanted 9500. It took a few hours after us leaving but they called us and gave us the price we wanted. The good news is I bought that car for 11,000 put 20,000miles on it. I had the car for almost 2 years.

We were in the market for one new car but the incentives convinced us to get 2nd car.

Any deal examples for people that bought in TX? Can you get the regional discounts even if you don't live in that region but buy from a dealer in that region?

27 pages, but you really need to read all of this thread. Midwest availability | PriusChat

There is no stock in our area. It's order only or fly and buy and has been discussed in massive detail.

I went on autotrader and noticed there's not a lot of stock in TX, I wonder why?

I'll check out that thread, thanks!

toyota doesn't get california carb credits selling prime in non carb states. inventory is tight right now due to popularity in japan, so non carb states won't see many until demand eases.

I'm surprised they are giving 3,500 incentives if the demand is that high.

only in ny/nj. they committed a certain number of cars to carb states, but they aren't selling well. so they have upped the anti a couple times since the intro, and people have flown in from all over the country to drive one home.
cali is really the only are where demand is outstripping supply due to HOV stickers and people's thought process in general.

Looks like RI gets the credit too. I guess a lot of people are buying them in the Northeast and shipping or driving them home? I'm debating buying one if I can get a Prime Advanced in the low/mid 20's after the $4500 federal credit then I'll wait till a higher performance Model 3 comes avail.

I guess the trick is finding a dealer that has a low enough starting price. The 3,500 vs 3,125 doesn't matter too much.

Cali will mail a rebate check of $2500 for prime. Assuming you dont make more than 250K combine income.

The Prime qualifies for $1500 from the state and $500 from PGE. Where is the $2500 rebate coming from?
