yeah you definitely got a good deal as it's on par is what I was looking at for xle's. I'm just saying I've never had to use the warranty so why even buy one. Changing the fluids and regular maintenance isn't covered so for me it's a waste of money

Congratulations! I know you are from FL, how are you getting the car? I had a good quote from that dealership, but I guess the knucklehead salesman doesn't want a sale.

Thank you Starburst. Thank you everyone who helped again. I am heading there friday morning with my wife. We are heading right back after we everything is done. I am in the works of finalizing everything I can. I think I got a really good deal. I still haven't mentioned the uber driver discount. When I was in the works of negotiating with another dealership the sales associate mentioned they weren't sure if they were still doing the uber discount. Can anyone tell me the process of proving I am an uber driver (I'm not really an uber driver but I signed up about 5 years ago to give it a try and never went through with it completely.)

You have to sign up to be an uber driver to get the discount. It's simple, but might take a day to get everything verified so you might want to do it today. Which dealership told you they might not be doing it anymore? I think you got a good deal too. Did you use Truecar or how did you arrive at your pricing? Who was your salesperson? Please let me know how everything goes and don't let them talk you into anything else!

Hey theBakerman would you be willing to check a Truecar price for me on a particular car? I don't want to do it as I am afraid I might lose pricing that I already have or not get good pricing. I checked a few cars and the pricing was not nearly as good as the one you posted. My son tried Truecar a couple years ago and the dealership (Honda) would not negotiate further. I'm reluctant to post VIN on here as I think sales people might be lurking!

Make sure you get a final price before you mention the uber discount. I was trying to get them down to 30,000 before any rebates on a XLE. When we were going back and forth I spoke about the uber discount and they tried to put that in the lower cost to make it seem like they were giving me a bigger discount then they actually were.

Basically we were talking about a 1900 dealer discount, they were at like 700 dealer discount. And to get to the 1900 they tried to show me numbers of basically 1200 dealer discount and 750 uber discount and trick me as that was the 1900 dealer discount.

hey that's the same dealer that I posted and you ended up getting your car from. Congrats. All I had to do is go to TrueCar price and type in your ZIP code and you're welcome. Enjoy. That's what's Prius Chat is for

Yeah I'm the one that actually posted the Maryland dealer for the quote that was a lot cheaper. I believe it was 27k and change plus tax and license. At the end of the day these dealers are still making multi-millions of dollars every year as they're the ones that set the price and buy it for a much cheaper amount from the manufacturer direct.... It's even cheaper than supposed dealer invoice.. congrats

I used TrueCar just like the baker had mentioned. I used the zip code 21240 which I believe is the zip code for bwi airport.
It was Koons Toyota of Westminster in Maryland that mentioned them not doing the Uber discount but who knows the sales associate could have just wanted me not to get that discount. I went with true car and did not haggling. The price was so good I couldn’t believe it. I went to sheehy Toyota of laurel maryland. My sales associate was Luis C something, I think constanos.

Hey it makes me feel good to save someone alot money. I honestly know several people with Priuses and even people in my family and told them about the deal but no one wanted it. So I came back to this account I created years ago and started spreading the love

LE in SoCal. Rounded numbers off the top of my head.

30300 MSRP (BS optional add ons IMO)
    -3600 Dealer discount
    -5000 Toyota rebate
    -900 Cali rebate
    -750 Uber rebate
    ~20,000 prior to TTL

Awaiting an additional 4,500 federal rebate next year and 1,000 CRVP rebate (yesterday was last day to purchase and submit). Cali taxes suck. Took about 6 hours from me deciding to purchase and starting to email local dealers to signing for the car. Some of these dealers are crap (can't lower beyond MSRP + rebates). This isn't as good as my 2018 deal (see previous posts). Good luck.

No dealer info? Inside deal. Mine with the paint upgrade was 22,107 plusT@L including the 5400 (Factory rebate 4500+900). So what was it before the extras??

Ya la county taxes are the worst. Not mention 450 registration!! Ouch

Nope, you just need to find a good quote and spam local dealers to beat that price with a specific price in mind. Actually in retrospect, this is almost as good as my deal back in 2018 (20K prior to TTL and federal rebate). I didn't have to pay Cali taxes back then, however.

I would love to see a picture of the actual price purchase for the vehicle total price. I can send a picture of mine tonight when I get home. I know I got a really good deal because I did check every single dealer in Southern California and email them. All the above and have been doing this for about a month. The only thing I did miss out on was the extra $500 for sure after April 1st

You missed the uber rebate too from your post.

Actual price of car was ~27K prior to rebates. I can send you the purchase price if you don't believe me - just shoot me a PM.
