The Triathlon offer is available. however, the terms in the form (See attached) clearly state that your current USAT membership end date cannot be beyond 31 Oct 2020.Now, USAT membership is for 1 year.; Which means you had to be a USAT member by 31 Oct 2019.

So if you try and buy a new membership now, you would get a card with expiry of Dec 2020, making it invalid for the rebate.

    upload_2019-12-5_16-12-33.png

In fact I called up the dealer helpline number (given in the incentive form) and double checked if they had any updates to the USAT incentive(like extension of the member expiration date) . The representative on the call clearly said that the expiry date on the membership card cannot be beyond 31 Oct 2020.

So anyone planning to take up the $50 USAT membership now with the sole intent of getting the $500 incentive, Please don't.

We financed through Toyota Financial remotely. The dealership sent all the papers to the notary that we recommended. Then signed papers and closed the deal.It was very simple and easy. Papers Maryland to Texas. They sent by next day air and also sent return package. Change the dealer.

No guarantee on that. But if you purchase in Jan 2020, that means you won't get the Federal tax credit until Feb+ of 2021. Purchase by 12/31/19, you get that $4500 back in a couple-few months.

Hi SECENG, by any chance, do you have the new form that has a new end date?

I just called the toyota incentive helpline (800 825 3837) again to confirm. No changes - the 31 Oct 2020 deadline stays.
I asked if any updates happened recently and they said no.
They in fact said, some dealers might accidentally accept memberships ending after 31 Oct 2020, But toyota will not be paying the dealer for that, as there is no change in deadline 31 Oct 2020. In such cases, the dealer has to bear the cost. This is what I got from a call with the toyota incentive assistance helpline.

Edit: I again called a nearby dealer to check, and they said the latest forms indeed have a new date of 2nd Dec, 2020. So the customer service guys might have given me the wrong info. Glad I took the membership on Dec 1st.

The Dealer however insisted that they need the original membership card, soft copies/Printouts will not work .. So I just need to wait for the Membership card to arrive by snail-mail.

Hi all, I’m in SoCal, looking to lease a 2020 Prius Prime XLE / Magnetic Gray / Black Interior. Best offer I’ve received thus far is below, via Costco pricing with local dealership. This post is a gut check on this forum before going to dealership to drive away with it today - 12/7/19 - and any reactions or last-minute advice would be deeply appreciated, thanks. $0 down, $0 drive-off:

    MSRP: $30,714.00
    Discount: -$2,272.90
    Market Price: $28,441.10
    Base Payment: $350.00
    Term: 36 Months
    Miles Per Year: 10K
    Money Factor: 0.00001
    Residual Value: $16,585.56 (54%)
    Lease Cash: $835.00
    Cash Due: $0.00
    Total Payment Per Month: $383.29

Thanks, it might be, but it’s the best I’ve found so far. I think it’s because the PHEVs have poor residual value, in this case 54%. The tax credit is indeed a part of it.

She can do the same car for $4 less per mo. Not huge savings, but I appreciated her quick response and aim to go do a deal with her tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

If you can benefit from the full $4502 tax credit and the $1000 CA rebate, the math probably works out better to buy, with 5 year financing at around 3% and sell in three years rather than lease. Unlike the past three year Prius Primes, the 2020 is Uber eligible (seats 5) so there is a better market for used ones from drivers who always look for used Priuses.

Yes - you can buy in any state and register in any other state. I live in Kentucky and I am working on negotiating my best deal in MD. I'm choosing to go to MD rather than NJ because from posts in this thread it SEEMS like MD dealers are more willing to negotiate, so I think I will get a better deal in the end in MD. (plus, MD is a significantly shorter drive for me.... and I suppose even shorter for you :) )
