But he is in CA and his photo of sales document on #2655 does not show $5000 incentive. CA never had a $5000 incentive for any year model IIRC.

We had a $750 rebate in Northern California in February, though the picture shows 1250, hmm...

West coast dealerships have been low / out of the 2018s since January.

i just picked up another one for the wife.
leftover 2018 while the 5k rebate is still in effect in NJ.
Toyota of Princeton was willing to find me the car i wanted if i put a deposit down.
they brought a 2018 Premium blue magnetism with black interior from a Connecticut dealer.
paperwork was easy since i had just done the same a month ago.
price was only 59 dollars difference from last time.
options were a bit different, and i could have haggled over the last $500, but the price was good enough i didnt bother.
they did get the car they promised, at the price they promised.
definitely worth the drive from PA to go see them, available discount and ease of transaction make NJ the place to get a PRIME.
fritz lagua was the sales guy who promised and delivered. Twice !

Thanks Bisco, their website shows only 2018 Premium available. Any other dealer in NY/NJ that has Plus in stock?

i got a good idea of who had what, able to search by trim level, and distance. make sure you are looking at new only not the slightly used or certified. might consider a premium the price isnt a lot more, and get the softex leatherish interior. i put a deposit down at princeton toyota and they went and got the the one i wanted from CT. saved me the drive. call fritz lagua. he quoted me a price on the phone and with the deposit got the car, and at delivery the price was what we agreed.

i know hackensack had a few last time i looked , mostly red and premium. dayton has a plus. blue with black interior. haggle the hell out of them. hackensack was ready to sell a red premium to me for 26300 OTD. i got better deal at princeton, and got the color i wanted ;)
also consider ny dealers, they also benefit from the manufacturer discount i believe.

$23,688*(Plus sales tax, department of motor vehicle fees, and $549 dealer conveyance. Price includes dealer destination and handling fee.) - Is this a good price for Plus in Red?

i dont think thats a good price, i think my premium was 23977 before tax etc.
you wan to be OTD for 23-24 tops so they need to knock off another 2k +/-
look at it from msrp +delivery fee
then subtract the manufacturer discount 5k
then subtract another 2k hopefully of dealer discount
example the blue one at dayton, this is what i would be going for price wise...
    msrp 27782 + delivery fee 920 = 28802 (as listed on cars.com)
    -5000 manufacturer discount = 23802
    -2000 dealer discount = 21802
then add in taxes and dealer doc fees 1500-2000 total,
you are back up to = 23302 23802 OTD

apply similar haggling to your car. they should hit those numbers, some have done even better !!
dont let them quote one price but the add in junk that drives the price up. deal in OTD pricing only.
and hold to about 23.5 OTD or hang up the phone ;) when you go to the delership, to pick up , be prepared to haggle all over again.
they will fudge all teh numbers on you. make sure you are only paying 23.5 total OTD (or less)!!!!
if you get close enough and you are happy, go for it, i wouldnt squabble over 50 bux... but you gotta get them lower than what you quoted above.
